You may be the reigning king/queen of the cardio section, but have you ever considered the thrilling adventures waiting for you in the freeweights area? 🤔

Our cardio section is of course equipped with everything you need to get a sweat on and get that heat rate up including assault bikes and ski-erg 👀

The resistance machines can offer you a full body workout with step-by-step instructions on every piece of kit. Head up to the freeweights section and you’ll find a range of plate loaded machines, racks, barbells and dumbbells.

If you ever need help with these, please ask a member of staff! 💙

At The Gym Group we’re honouring Black History Month by passing the mic to black artists.​

This year’s theme is ‘time for change: action not words,’ and signifies not only a time to acknowledge the contributions of black people within the UK, but for continued action to ensure black history and people are represented within media and wider society.​

At The Gym Group we want to provide an opportunity to uplift black voices, celebrating a selection of both up & coming and established black artists in a playlist for our members.

Pulling a funny gym face?

Gym groupers, we’ve got news for you… let’s welcome those gym faces with open arms (or open eyes).

Evidence suggests that those involuntary face pulls are actually designed to improve performance, for example, jaw clenching can increase grip strength by up 16% (who would’ve guessed it)

So how does it work, you may ask? When the area of the brain that’s responsible for these facial expressions is firing up, this can prime other areas of the brain which are responsible for your other moving parts, how cool.
