🏆 Athlete Academy Success Story 🏆

When first joined in July 2021 on a 1/week Group Coaching Membership, he was 9 years old and already showing the speed, strength & athleticism that would become the foundation of his sporting success.

Despite his young age, he quickly embraced one of the most important values we teach at The Athlete Academy: consistency ♻️.

That consistency soon began to pay off. Riley earned Athlete of the Month 🏆 and joined The 50 Club in October 2022. His commitment never wavered, and in December 2023 he became just the 5th athlete to reach the milestone of 💯 sessions.

One of the highlights during this period was helping his team secure the St George’s Internal Cup in May 2022, demonstrating both his ability and competitive mindse 🧠 .

Riley’s progress eventually led to an opportunity at professional academy level, signing for Livingston FC in August 2025 ✍️.

He immediately made a strong impression, spending part of the season with the Under-15s before going on to captain the Under-14 side. His performances and leadership qualities earned him a contract extension, signing on for another year from June 2026‼️

Throughout his high school years, he has also distinguished himself in athletics and PE, breaking his school’s sprinting record for his age, while his commitment in the classroom earned him Academic Excellence Awards for PE 🧑‍🎓.

These achievements reflect what we strive to develop at The Athlete Academy – not just better athletes, but young people who apply discipline, consistency & hard work across every area of their lives.

Is your child being trained for the right stage of their development❓

Most youth training programs are built around one thing: how old your child is 📅

But here is the problem…

Two children the same age can be worlds apart biologically.

One might be pre-puberty👧🏻👦🏽.

The other might already be post-PHV (Peak Height Velocity)👩🏼👨🏻

Training them the same way is not just ineffective. It can hold one back and push the other too far, too fast ❌

The Youth Physical Development (YPD) Model, published in 2012 by researchers Rhodri Lloyd and Jon Oliver, gives us a smarter, evidence-based framework for understanding exactly what your child should be training and when.

Swipe through to find out what the research actually says.

🏆 Athlete Academy Success Stories 🏆

Andrew Levinson joined while still a student at George Watsons College, cycling locally for Edinburgh Road Club 🚲 . He was highly focussed on his cycling and joined the Athlete Academy to work on improving his strength & power to boost his performance on the bike. Andrew joined our Group Coaching Program attending 2 sessions/week.

It didn’t take long before his consistency saw him get 50 sessions, joining The 50 Club in March 2024‼️

Andrew benefitted from a lot of exercises that helped improve his power and during his 2nd year as an Under 14 rider this really showed, with lots of results in the British circuit series races such as a🥉 at Hog Hill National, 4th at the Loughborough Cycling Festival National, 🥈 on General Classification at the British National Round 5 in Scotland, winning a stage and coming second in another stage.

Andrew also had success on the track with a clean sweep of Scottish titles on the track as well as defending his Scottish Circuit Champs Title 🏆 for the second year in a row!

In November of 2024, Andrew was the 19th athlete to reach 100 sessions and become an Athlete Academy Centurion‼️

Since moving on from the Athlete Academy, Andrew has ridden to a 🇬🇧 British National Points Championship, won on his first trip over to Belgium won round 1 of the National Youth Omnium series, all in his first year as an under 16 rider!

Andrew represented Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 later on in the year at the interregional games, where the team rode to a 3rd Place Overall 🥉. Just after this, Andrew was also selected for the Great Britain 🇬🇧 National School of Racing in October of 2025.

In 2026, Andrew won a stage of the British Circuit Series Round 1 in Wales, as well as a 🥉in Stage 3 and🥈 on General Classification. He also came 2nd on two stages of the Youth Tour of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 , and enjoyed success on the track, taking his first junior title in the Junior Men’s Points race, in which he gained a lap on the field, racing up a category‼️

Alongside this, he also took another clean sweep 🏆 in the U16 category, winning Individual Pursuit, Scratch Race, and Points race, lapping the field 5x‼️

sport.

It was built to solve a massive problem: too many young athletes are getting injured 🤕 , burning out 🤯, and dropping out 👎🏻because the system pushes them too hard, too early.
