Do you want to feel empowered? Strong? Powerful?

‼️DEAR GOD PLEASE STOP DOING ENDLESS HOURS OF CARDIO ‼️

Whether you have aesthetic goals or not, lifting weights is where it’s at 💪🏽

I know it can seem daunting, gym anxiety is a real thing but until you push yourself out of your comfort zone you’re always going to feel like that!

Whether you’re feeling a bit stuck, sick of making promises to yourself that you don’t seem to stick to ore simply just want to set yourself up for success this week…

MAKE A DAMN PLAN.

Honestly I know it sounds SO SIMPLE but I promise you if you prioritise some time (20-30 minutes max) to sit down and make a plan for your week you’re already one step ahead.

Take some time today to make a POA for the week. Write it down, make a note of it or even actively tell someone - happy for you to DM me a wee snapshot or photo for some extra accountability 😇

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and make sure you do something your future self will thank you for - for me that’s lying on the sofa, eating cake and binge watching Pretty Little Liars so I’m recharged for a busy week ahead 🥰

Are you guilty of being ‘good’ during the week but then ‘fall off the wagon’ come the weekend? 👀

Maybe try something a bit different this weekend…

How about you eat as if you had no idea what day it was? 😬 Ask yourself honestly, would you make different choices? 💭

I know for a fact I would have done in the past, I was the QUEEN of eating ‘well’ during the week but come Friday night there were no rules…it was the weekend after all! 👑

But why should that actually change anything? What if you ate the same most days? 🤨

Pizza on a Wednesday…🍕
Salad on a Sunday…🥗

So maybe give it a go this weekend and see how you feel in a a few days, I would hypothesise you won’t be getting to Sunday night feeling horribly guilty for overeating vowing to start the diet again on Monday (which by the way is completely unnecessary and just starts that whole cycle all over again…) ❌❌

Break the cycle before its even started again…YOU GOT THIS!! 🙌🏼

Checking in with your coach and feeling like you’ve failed because a NUMBER hasn’t moved in the direction you wanted?! 👀

But what about all of these things 👆🏼

The fact you slept through the night. Had a meal out without any anxiety. Ate more veg than usual. Noticed your back wasn’t as sore as normal.

Stop only equating progress to the scales!

💡CLIENT SPOTLIGHT - SUPERMUM EDITION’ 🦸‍♀️💥💡
When we first started working together Laura was consumed by the binge/restrict cycle.
In her own words… ‘I feel like I’m on a path of self destruction. I feel like food has control of me instead of the other way around and its all my life revolves around which isn’t what it should be about. I want to feel good, look good and set a good example to the boys so they can have a healthy relationship with food.’
To call this lovely lady ‘Supermum’ I feel doesn’t even do it justice 🦸‍♀️ She is incredibly busy, incredibly hard working, raising 2 amazing boys all while juggling 101 things at any given time but she has continued week on week to put in the WORK and her results up to this point speak for themselves 😭 Not only has Laura lost a significant amount of weight but she is no longer consumed and controlled by food!!!
What was the secret?!
We REMOVED that restriction. We made all food inclusive in her diet. I didn’t put her on silly low calories, I listened to her and week on week we adapt and adjust the plan depending on what she’s got on. We also worked on removing that constant need for ‘perfection’ and encouraged her to be kinder to herself! 🥰

💡 CLIENT SPOTLIGHT 💡
Can we just take a moment to appreciate this superstar?! 🌟🌟🌟
Roisin’s goals were centred around weightloss and building healthier habits and when we went into lockdown this time last year she really committed to her goals and well…the rest is history! 🤩
There were no super low calorie diets, no hours of cardio and no constant falling on and off the wagon - we took a very moderate approach and just worked on CONSISTENCY week in and week out 👌🏼
The result? Roisin hit her goal weight, losing 30lb’s and we have since reversed her out of a deficit and she is now maintaining her weight on over 500 calories more a day with more days taken untracked than tracked and having a very flexible approach to her nutrition. She’s stronger and fitter than ever, has nailed down some really healthy habits, has a very healthy relationship with food & exercise and is generally thriving in all areas of her life!

Change the way you think.
❌ Stop labelling foods ‘good’ or ‘bad’..
❌ Stop referring to ‘being good’ when you’re actively restricting and only eating lettuce leaves…
❌ Stop saying you’re ‘being bad’ when you eat things that are deemed ‘unhealthy’ or higher in calories…
❌ Stop attaching moral value to food!!
‼️ Seriously, changing the way you think is CRUCIAL in having a healthy relationship with food.
✅ Practise food neutrality - no food is good or bad, all food serves a purpose and no food should be off limits!
It takes work to reprogram these thought but the only way they will change is if you actively challenge them.
Call yourself out, practise eating all foods in moderation, don’t judge yourself when eating certain things, don’t judge others for eating certain things and be patient with yourself!

CAN WE PLEASE STOP TAKING SCALE WEIGHT AS GOSPEL?! 😱🤯

The scales are not the only measure of progress!! ❌❌❌

You can be losing fat and your scale weight not actually be changing that drastically.

If measurements are changing, clothes are loser or fitting better, you’re FEELING better and more confident then SCREW THE SCALES!

Stop letting a number dictate how you feel and even worse letting it dictate your actions.

All these clients have questioned whether they’re making progress and none of them have actually seen that drastic changes in scale weight BUT clothes that were once tight are now hanging off them! 🥳

There’s a fair few BFC clients who are having to invest in a whole new winter wardrobe (sorry not sorry guys) 😅😂

Bottom line: take your scale weight with a pinch of salt and making sure you’re using other ways to measure your progress too! 🎤💥
