🏆 YOUNG BOWLERS’ WWCBA JUNIOR MERIT SUCCESS!
What a fantastic day of bowls, with a great crowd including significant numbers from Langley BC and The Thimblemill BC supporting our young competitors!
After some excellent competitive matches, Stanley & Ethan were crowned champions after a thrilling 21–18 victory over Jamie & Ava in the final. 🏆

The third-place play-off saw Fletch & Tom defeat Kieran & Harry 21–16 to take the bronze position. 🥉
A big thank you to Wernley Bowling Club for hosting the event and providing the use of their facilities, and to the WWCBA Development Officer & WWCBA Junior Link Officer for organising and running the competition.
We are also very grateful to Kings Norton for their donation, which helped provide prize money for the Third-place competitors.
And there's more exciting news for our winners! Stanley & Ethan have been invited to play in the British Parks (Sponsored by C2C Consulting Engineers) Open Pairs Merit Championship at Belvedere BC, Burton upon Trent, on Sunday 4 October.
👏 Congratulations to all the young bowlers who took part — a brilliant day for junior bowls!

Two events specifically aimed at Juniors are coming up in the next couple of weeks.
The first is the Junior Midland Masters on 19th September at Newport, Shropshire.
The second is the Cowcliffe Classic Junior Comp on 27th September at Cowcliffe, Yorkshire.

Proud to manage the away side today up in Yorkshire. Everyone played their part from the players, to the handful of supporters that made the journey. Thanks to the reserves who turned up and never got to play (All one team). And thank you to everyone that marked cards. It is really appreciated.

We set out to do a job and smashed it. Bring on next year now, after a few celebratory drinks
