๐ฐ MATCH REPORT: Academy XI Secure their First Kent Village League Win

The Academy XI claimed their first ever Kent Village League victory on Sunday with a brilliant allโround performance full of energy, discipline and belief.
After losing the toss and asked to bowl first, Edenbridge were made to work hard. Holcombe & Blue Bell Hill began confidently, with their top order putting together solid partnerships and punishing anything loose. Their opening batsman top scored with 91, anchoring the innings well, rotating the strike and keeping the scoreboard moving, while lateโorder hitting pushed the total up to a challenging 241-6.
But Edenbridge refused to let the innings get away.
๐ช Pri struck at key moments, taking important wickets.
๐ฏ Curtis added another, breaking a threatening stand.
๐ Two brilliant run outs - one each from Pri and Freddie - halted the host's momentum.
๐ Safe catches from Curtis, Rory and Levi kept the pressure on.
Chasing 242, Edenbridge needed a platform - and young Ollie provided exactly that. He defended with maturity beyond his years, rotated the strike and blunted the threat of the opening bowlers so Levi could play positively for his 29 ๐ช
Chris added a stylish 20, keeping Edenbridge ahead of the rate ๐
Then came the partnership that sealed the day ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ
๐ฏ Pri produced a sensational careerโfirst ton, and carried his bat ending 117 not out
๐ Carter supported him superbly with a fearless 40 not out, the pair cruising to 242โ3 with overs to spare
