We are delighted to announce that Katie Houghton will return to the club this summer, from an impressive 4-year spell as a top flight player with Sale Sharks Women , to take the reins as Lead Coach of the Eccles RFC Ladies.

Congratulations to James Wright who has been recognised in the 2023 RFU Honda Volunteer of the Year Awards, in the 'Game For All' category, for his achievements and outstanding contribution to his club and community over the past 12 months.

Alongside his work in schools as the Community Rugby Coach and Ladies Head Coach for Eccles RFC, in the past year James has also been instrumental in establishing and building the Northern Girls Network to encourage the growth of Women’s and Girls Rugby.

James will now go forward to represent Lancashire and Eccles in the National Awards, at Twickenham in the Autumn.

Anyway, before then there's a patio to build and flags to lay. Crack on James!🙂
