Calling all boxing fans, coaches, boxers , and lovers of sporting history!

On Monday 6th July at 5pm, the Astor Theatre, Deal will host Gawain Douglas, the great-grandson of the 9th Marquess of Queensberry, whose name became forever linked to the famous Queensberry Rules that helped shape modern boxing.

📖 The Story of Prize Fighting will take audiences on a fascinating journey through boxing history, featuring:

✅ Famous fights and legendary fighters
✅ Old-school training methods
✅ Rare Queensberry family boxing artefacts
✅ Stories, humour, and unique insights from boxing's past
✅ Reflections on modern boxing and the rise of women's boxing

This promises to be a brilliant evening for anyone with an interest in boxing history, from the bare-knuckle era right through to the modern sport we know today.
