Little habits make a big difference.
At Elevate Gymnastics, we see how just 10 minutes of simple home practice — gentle stretches, coordination drills, fitness — can gradually strengthen rhythm, posture and confidence. These small moments build body awareness, musicality and control that children carry straight back into the gym.

For families, these habits don’t need to feel formal or structured. A bit of playful movement in the living room, a stretch while chatting, or a quick balance challenge before bedtime can all help children feel proud of what they can do. When it stays light, relaxed and enjoyable, progress happens naturally.

If you’d like to support your child’s Elevate journey, we’re here to guide you with simple ideas that fit easily into everyday life. www.elevategymnasticsrg.com

What to Bring to Class at Elevate Gymnastics 🤸‍♀️✨
Getting ready for class is easy — here’s everything your child needs to feel comfortable, confident and ready to move:

✔ Comfortable, fitted clothing
A t-shirt with a leotard, leggings or shorts. Stretchy and more form fitting clothing is better so they can move safely and freely, nothing too loose. Layers that can be removed as the muscles warm up and no jewellery.

✔ Hair tied back
A neat bun or ponytail helps with posture, focus and apparatus handling.

✔ Water bottle
We take regular hydration breaks to keep everyone energised.

✔ Bare feet or rhythmic half‑shoes
This helps gymnasts feel the floor, improve balance and develop correct technique.

✔ A positive attitude
The most important thing they can bring. We celebrate effort, creativity and confidence every week.

Everything else — apparatus, music, coaching and encouragement — is provided by us. 🌟

Rhythmic gymnastics began over a century ago, inspired by early European movement schools that blended dance, expressive movement and simple apparatus work. What started as a creative form of artistic exercise gradually developed into a structured sport — and eventually became an official Olympic discipline in 1984.

As rhythmic grew, so did its performance styles. One of the biggest evolutions was the introduction of group routines. These added a whole new dimension to the sport:
✨ coordinated teamwork
✨ complex exchanges
✨ synchronised choreography
✨ shared apparatus patterns

Group rhythmic showcases the artistry of multiple gymnasts moving as one — turning individual expression into collective performance.

Rhythmic has come a long way from its simple beginnings… and continues to evolve with every generation of gymnasts. 💫🤸‍♀️

Stepping out onto the floor at your very first competition can be an exhilarating but daunting prospect, one for those who want to take it can be full of rewards that go beyond the physical. The competition journey is one of the most exciting parts of rhythmic gymnastics — and at Elevate, we guide each gymnast through it with patience, clarity and plenty of encouragement.

Our Road to Competition pathway helps children build the skills, confidence and artistry they need to step onto the carpet feeling proud and prepared. Week by week, they develop stronger technique, cleaner ex*****on and expressive performance quality, supported by coaches who celebrate every milestone.

From mastering apparatus handling to polishing choreography, each step is purposeful. We focus on steady progress, positive mindset and helping every gymnast feel ready for their moment to shine.

Whether it’s their first friendly competition or their next challenge, we’re here to lift them every step of the way. 🌟
