Safety Advice
Insanity Alert
It’s All Funny Until it’s Not Funny 😢
I roll this message out about this time every year.
Each year the danger gets worse.
Years ago this time of year was a beautiful, peaceful happy time.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year etc...
However over the years society has degenerated
Massive increase in drug use, female and male drunkenness, knife attacks and an increase in, well, ... insanity.
These days, Christmas and New Year are a time when drunken and drugged scum injure each other and injure hundreds of innocent people. They have no moral compass and no boundaries.
The drunken/drugged predators could be strangers or people you know who do a Jekyll & Hyde on you once their tissue thin illusion of normality dissolves in the excitement of the season.
Worried and grieving families abound.
Hospitals are full
Avoid “works nights outs” - what could go wrong!
Avoid city centres
Avoid parties where you don’t know everyone or even if you do know everyone.. so called friends can change and become predatory or hostile etc.
Avoid being vulnerable through intoxication
Avoid over reacting through intoxication and winding up on a manslaughter charge
Stay aware/beware of friends and strangers when the insanity starts
Remember, if in doubt don’t be there
Everybody wants to have a nice time
but ..
If you dance with the Devil
You may wake up in Hell.
Stay Safe

Neutralizing threats
This involves stopping, deterring, or eliminating an immediate danger through actions such as incapacitating an attacker. This can be achieved through various means, including physical intervention, de-escalation, defensive tactics. The goal is to render the threat ineffective and prevent further harm, always while considering legal and ethical standards, and often requiring rapid decision-making under pressure.
Methods of Neutralizing Threats
Neutralizing a threat can take many forms depending on the nature of the danger:
In a self-defense context, this can involve actions like running away, fighting back, or using lethal force to stop an attacker.
Disarming, physically taking a weapon, such as a pistol, from someone to make them no longer a threat.
De-escalation, using verbal and non-verbal communication to de-escalate a situation and avoid violence.

I’m currently teaching quite a few 121 Private Sessions in Self Defence.
