You know what really grinds my gears? The massive, glaring double standard between Intermittent Fasting and weight-loss drugs.
Intermittent Fasting can accelerate fat loss and put the brakes on aging.
But let’s be clear, it’s not just “skipping breakfast” and hoping for the best. There’s actual strategy, science, and intention behind it.
Yet the second you mention you’re following an IF window, BOOM, the food police arrive, whistles and clipboards in hand:
“You must eat three square meals a day!”
“Snack, snack, snack in between or your metabolism will die!”
“You’ll mess up your hormones!”
Errrm… reality check, for many of us, menopause has already sent hormones on a rollercoaster ride. Intermittent Fasting isn’t the culprit here.
Now let’s flip it 👇
Weight loss drugs?
Not eating because your appetite’s suppressed? “Totally fine!”
Dropping weight fast? “Wow, amazing!”
No lectures. No snack schedules. No panicked warnings about metabolism. Just applause and gold stars.
So let me get this straight:
Skipping meals because of medication = ✅ Totally acceptable.
Skipping meals because you’re following IF = ❌ Dangerous, irresponsible, cue the lectures.
Make. It. Make. Sense.
There’s a huge double standard here, and it's time it was called out. Intermittent fasting gets side-eyed and shamed, while weight-loss drugs get the red-carpet treatment.
Anyone else noticing this nonsense? 👀
