Polegate Table Tennis Club have six teams competing in the Eastbourne League's two divisions.

This is the 13th season since moving from Polegate Community Centre to Willingdon Community School. We know the club was founded prior to 1968.

Our Club meets on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and despite the league matches, practice is available on at least two or three tables throughout the year.

Polegate Table Tennis Club is preparing for the 2022-23 league season. We are looking for new players of all levels.This is due to players moving out of the area and change of jobs etc. The club meets twice a week on Tuesday's and Wednesday's throughout the year with plenty of opportunity for practice.
As far as we know the club has existed since 1968 and was originally at the Polegate Community centre in Windsor Drive. However,to enable expansion move to Willingdon Community School in 2011. This move enabled the club to increase from three teams to six in the Eastbourne League.

A note to members from Angela Hind..

As part of Table Tennis England's Centenary celebrations The Pride of Table Tennis Awards where being presented to volunteers who clubs felt that someone deserved recognition for their contribution.

Mike Savill was put forward for his continuous support and commitment to the club - not only does he set up the venue for match nights but also for practice nights but uring the pandemic when the club was unable to meet Mike kept in touch with members via emails as well as communicating with the school and the league.

Once Government guidelines allowed playing to commence Mike was diligent in providing hand sanitiser, cleaning materials etc and impressed upon social distancing measures to be adhered to in order to keep members safe.. The Pride of Table Tennis Volunteer Certificate was presented to Mike as Volunteer of the Year.

Congratulations Mike - well deserved !
