Once a year I get to do something on the last lesson before the Christmas break, which is to present the Jasmine Teh award, in memory of an amazing student that we sadly lost many years ago. The award is presented not only to mark the student of the year, but someone who has been able to overcome obstacles to improve and develop. This year the instructors were unanimous in the decision to award the shield to Illias. Not only has he worked hard but has shown a real development and positive attitude. Well done young man, this award is special and you did everything needed to achieve it.

A little overdue, but I recently had the pleasure of awarding Lynsey Elizabeth and Paul Hudson their 3rd Kyu. The grading was a true test which they met head on. Well done to the both of you, the standard was great!
