SEASON 3 COMPLETE ✅

As far as awards nights go, they do not get any better than that!!

Firstly I just wanted to start off by thanking our incredible sponsors THE SHIP INN RETFORD, & CJF COMMERCIALS for another season of support 💙

Just a group of mates having a laugh, the way Sunday league football should be. Even though we might not be ready to challenge in division 1 just yet, what a great thing we’ve got going on here and we’re still only just getting started.

Thank you to everyone for coming down to support the lads, it was definitely a night to remember. .msc know how to work a crowd 🎉. Proud to have hosted 2/3 of all events like this in our town!

Congratulations to all of the award winners it really couldn’t be more deserved, and a big shoutout to every member of the squad for being there 🙌

One thing is now for certain - nobody else does it quite like Babworth Rovers!!!! 🔵🔵🔵

The recipient of the Babworth Rovers Player of the Month award for May: LEWIS ROCKLEY 🏆

With only the one match to go off this month, there’s only one man who deserves this award. The last one of the season!

Unrelenting work rate, gives his all every time he steps onto the field and the confidence has grown to a point where he has become one of the first names on the team sheet.

Bagged a hat trick and an assist in our only game this month. This months all yours mate!

FULL TIME

Ending a tough season on a high is exactly what we needed to see it off 💪

ROCKLEY opened the scoring when being sent through on goal by RANDELL then followed it up 5 minutes later with a ridiculous weak foot volley straight into the top corner. Serious Goal of the Season contender 🙌

G.HUDSON then slotted a nicely taken strike past the keeper before ROCKLEY bagged his 3rd to complete his hat trick and we went into HT 4-0 up.

Second half was a bit slower paced but RANDELL produced a moment of magic by dribbling through half their team before nestling it in the bottom corner Cherki-esque. Another goal of the season nominee.

Morton clawed back a couple at the end including a brilliant goal themselves. Best of luck next season lads 🔵

It’s that time again …

Last year was the first ever time an event like this was thrown in the town.

An event that went so nuts that the council have genuinely stepped in to permit us to 5 hours only.

That won’t change the party.

Featuring sets from only Babworth players of past and present showcasing a blend of sound from Leeds to London to little old Retford.

You’re either there, or you’re not.

The recipient of the Babworth Rovers Player of the Month award for March: OLIVER LAWSON 🏆

When we talk about heroes of the dark times, you say names like Jarrod Bowen at West Ham, Michu at Swansea, Zaha at Palace etc … but it’s time to add one more to that list. Oli Lawson at Babworth Rovers 25/26 season.

This season he’s developed into one of the first names on the teamsheet with his crucial work rate, link up play & communication. We’re a better team with Lawson in, that’s a fact.

This month saw a brace in an inspired showing against his old club Babworth Yellows, then followed up with 2 brilliant performances despite the defeats.

Couldn’t be more deserved, well in mate 🔵

FULL TIME

With the appointed ref not turning up, Bridon’s manager stepped in to officiate. No comment.

Big shout out to every single one of the lads, work rate was immense and on another day it would’ve been a win.

RANDELL once again a stand out performance on his captaincy debut. ASQUITH, O.HUDSON, ROCKLEY & LANE also deserve a mention for today, but every player that stepped on the pitch wearing a Babworth shirt can hold their heads up high.

Thank you to the Bridon players who were calling for a fair game. Onto next week now
