A well taken Alex Wonham penalty mid way through the first half secured the points for Kings and virtually assured the first division title.
They can officially be crowned next Sunday at home.
Kings got exactly what they expected a rough tough encounter against their local rivals.
Alberts could have taken the lead in the first five minutes after being awarded a very soft penalty, but Kings keeper Ben Payne pulled off a great save diving low to his left.
Alberts had a lot of possession with Kings players tiring after Friday nights hard fought cup final victory, though clear cut chances were few from both teams.
Kings though could have increased their lead mid way through the second half when a great run down the left by Ben Smith saw him hit a low drive which cannoned back of the far post.
Ben Payne was again called into action nearing full time when pulling off two top saves to ensure the points.
For kings Arnold and Marro were excellent at the heart of the defense and it was good to see jack Johnson back in top form.

East Markham FC 3

After demolishing East Markham in the league earlier in the season, many thought this would be straight forward for Kings, but cup games and in particular, Finals are not always like that.
East Markham, full of confidence having been on a winning streak since January proved difficult opponents, and with kings looking complacent ran into an early two goal lead with a couple of excellent goals.
Kings pulled one back after a great run by Alex Wonham set up Bran Hooley who finished well.
Everyone thought this was the turning point but no, Markham again broke and scored going into half time three one up.
Kings came out after the break fired up, and with a slight formation change looked a different proposition for their opponents.
After Ash McEwan pulled one back kings pounded their hosts goal hitting the bar and post, and bringing three top class saves from the Markham keeper.
Bran Hooley then hit a wicked volley which was cleared off the line.
As Markham players tired Kings finally equalised, Ben Smith running past two defenders before cutting inside to hit a fantastic twenty five yard drive into the net.
With around ten minutes remaining Kings were awarded a free kick after kings live wire Billy Stafford was pulled down.
Alex Wonham stepped up and found a gap just inside the right hand post superbly driving it past the Markham wall and the grasping hands of their keeper to complete a fantastic comeback victory.
Well done to East Markham who pushed kings so close and gave everything.
Kings comeback showed the great spirit and attitude within the camp coming back from three down to win.
For kings everyone gave everything in the second half, Martin
Woodhead was outstanding, covering every blade of grass, and Bran Hooley too before limping off midway through the second half.
Man of the Match though was Alex Wonham, just superb.

Kings Arms Clarborough FC 3

A game that kings pretty much controlled from the start against last year's champions.
The visitors had much of the game in the first half though Friendship always posed a threat on the break.
As it was after various chances Kings reached the break only one up Bran Hooley rounding a player and finishing well after excellent work from Alex Wonham.
Kings defended against the wind after the break, putting an extra man up front in the hard working Ryan Evans who gave Friendships right back a torid second half.
A good header from central defender Liam Arnold increased Kings lead, before his defensive partner Cal Rudd made it three another headed goal on the back post.
Man of the match was Brandon Hooley who was back to his best. Great work and runs on and off the ball.
Next up for Kings, a visit to Tickhill in a first v second clash.
Kings will play East Markham FC in the final of the A division league Cup on Friday 1st May ko 7pm.

Kings progressed to the final of the league Cup with a very hard fought victory in a game ruined by the weather conditions.

The Gale force swirling winds made it virtually impossible to get the ball down and play which limited scoring chances.
Kings with the wind behind them had the better of the first half though there were not many clear cut opportunities, many crosses and through balls being over hit.
Bridon scrambled clear a couple of half chances clear before Brandon Hooley finally opened the scoring with a very good header to take kings into the break one up.
Kings had some defending to do against the wind after the break and Bridon had a couple of half chances one fired just wide and one well saved by Kings Ben Payne.
Kings could have increased their lead shortly afterwards Hooley breaking clear on the right before delivering a great cross from which Ryan Evans was inches away from scoring.
Kings man of the match was Martin Woodhead. They now await the result of the Albert Sports FC v East Markham FC to decide their final opponents.
