We are a traditional "old fashioned" bike shop in the heart of North Nottinghamshire. Serving our local community and beyond for over 10 years. Afternoon all what a scorcher! Its great to see so many of you using your bikes just now. We have had a few incidents lately of people acquiring free/cheap bikes that dont work very well. While were are happy to carry out all of your bicycle repairs when we are able. We cant, am afraid, compromise on safety. So, if you just want the bike to function but, we (in our opinion) dont think that its safe we wont, am afraid, do any work on it. We dont want to come across as been on a customer prevention course and we nearly always do more work we dont charge for but, am afraid we have a moral compass as well as spend a lot on insurance and am sorry but we cant compromise safety. "Just do the brakes" when the tyres are not fit for air, is not something we can help with. Gears not working, missing grips, torn saddles even mismatched pedals, we dont judge and these not a safety issue so your choice. There will be plenty of people saying "well the customer can get what they want done" and your right but, if while leaving our shop the tyres disintegrate and the rider ends up in the road, who is going to be under the spotlight and at risk of liability? And your right its "their choice" but its also "our choice" not to be complicit in your bad choices and not want any liability. Sorry bit negative but, had to be said. Anyways on a better note as we are heading towards the summer holidays July tends to be quite busy so, we have stocked up with a few new bikes and will be working extra hours to make sure your bikes are fit for your holidays. We also have a few pre owned bikes that have all been through our workshop. Have a great week Y'all and drink plenty 🍻....Oh and some water when you can 😜😘

Sorry not posted for a little while from Your friendly local bike shop but, we been a bit busy with bicycle repairs and servicing before the Easter break and then I had a couple days away for me birthday. Thanks to Jeff Pedlar for holding the fort and stacking up the work for me getting back, with me burnt nose and beer garden tan. We upto full speed for this next Bank Holiday and have just had a small delivery of the brand new Ezego TD2 (2026) Electric mountain bike (pics to follow). Remember to use plenty sun cream and dont get a peeling nose like me.......Have a great weekend Y'all.

Weathers a bit dull this morning and the half term nearly over but, again we were surprised when someone brought in their bike to be repaired they didnt realise we had pedals etc in stock. Now we are not the biggest shop in the world and we may not know what the current vibes are but, we do like a little bit of "bling" for your bikes. So along with bicycle repairs and servicing, sales of quality bikes and a selection of E-Bikes we also have pedals, grips, bars, stems disc rotor bolts and even dust caps to add a personal touch to your bike. And if its in being serviced or repaired we can fit a bit of bling while its in....Have a great day 😘

Morning All, just checking you are all OK? Anyways...just a gentle reminder we are open for New, Nearly New and a couple Preowned Bikes and E-bikes. Servicing, repairs and puncture "prevention" from OKO Magic Milk. Pop in say hello and perhaps there may be a couple small sweet treats available....Sorry we may not have time to respond to all messages as quick as you would like as we are busy dealing with our LOVELY FANTASTIC CUSTOMERS in the shop but, you could call the shop if you cant get to us.

What a great sunny morning this morning. We must be getting close to the first big holiday of the year as the front door hasnt stopped since 8.30 this morning...we dont open till 10!...Ah well if am here then am working. Anyways, people often ask why we dont have a booking system? It is something we used to have a long time ago and it is something we are constantly monitoring but, in short we like to get things turned around as quick as possible because we dont have space. Sometimes people either dont turn up when they are supposed to or leave their bikes here forever waiting to be collected which then has us standing around waiting or fills up our small shop. So, we take each repair/service as it arrives, we give you our best guestimate of time and cost and its up to you whether its something you want us to do? We always try where possible to get you going within the hour (or so) if you have a puncture or a quick emergency while out and about. Collecting your bikes when they are ready really is one of the biggest helps you can give along with SHARE, LIKE and FOLLOW. Have a great day.

Misty morning All, this advise about getting onto social media's and stuff is a little confusing for us vintage types.....We know about, Bicycle servicing and repairs, new and second hand bike sales and a limited number of E-bikes in stock and ready to ride. Apparently as well as fitting tyres and innertubes to most things including some pushchairs and prams, we have to do it all on a "Radiogram!".....Sorry but me prefab sprout days are long gone son 😉 Am now to remind all you great clever people to do me a favour...its free..Just LIKE SHARE and FOLLOW. And please remember New and Used Bicycle sales, service and repairs not trendy social mediaing. 😘
