The Retford Half Marathon and Fun Run is organised by Retford Athletic Club. Held under UK Athletics Rules, this popular run attracts approximately 1,200 entrants each year and is a key fixture for seasoned runners from across Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, as well as for others who are taking part in their first half-marathon.

After the huge success of our 2026 edition, we’re delighted to announce that the Retford Half Marathon returns on Sunday 21st March 2027! 🔴⚪🔵

Whether you’re chasing a new PB, stepping up to your first half marathon, or simply looking for a fantastic spring race, we’d love to see you on the start line.

What an incredible day at the Retford Half Marathon.

A huge thank you to every single person who helped make the event possible, our amazing runners, dedicated volunteers, supportive spectators, generous sponsors, race officials, pacers, photographers, first aid teams, and the local residents and businesses along the route.

Events like this simply could not happen without the support of the community, and today Retford showed what it’s all about.

To everyone who ran, cheered, marshalled, organised, or supported in any way, thank you for being part of something special.
