Amazonian Waters Swim School We offer sessions for :-
Newborns and toddlers The benefits of these sessions for babies are endless.

Our parent and baby classes are held in a hydrotherapy pool, we aim to create a fun relaxed atmosphere whilst focusing on creating a bond between baby and the parent/carer, using carefully designed progressive sessions which incorporate rhythm and song and work with babies natural reflexes, we then progress and develop them untill they become deliberate actions (swimming movements). Researches hav

e documented that baby/toddler swimming lessons has the potential to increase, intelligence, concentration, alertness and perceptual abilities. Improvements in social, emotional and physical development have also been published. Our classes focus on:

*Shaw method ( teacher is in the water )

*Specific holds to ensure safety and to stimulate movement and fun in the water

*Preparation or participation in submersion by dips, jumps or dives

*Swimming with your baby

*Specific instruction as a group and individual attention when needed

*Free time to practice your skills and to play

*Games, songs and rhymes

We have just received the devastating news that we were hoping would never come ..

Bassetlaw district council have just notified the pool owners that their change of use application has been refused . This means it is almost certain as from the 31st of May the pool is no longer available for us to hire . This news is very disappointing and we are truly devastated. We cant thank Sam and Jo enough for their hospitality which at least gave us the opportunity to restart our lessons throughout the last year . Both Aimy and I would like to say an even bigger Thank you to you the parents for choosing us for swimming lessons for your baby/ child . It has been a privilege to see all the children develop and grown in confidence in such a short space of time and we are really disappointed we are not able to see them through their swimming journey .

This is the second time we have been in a similar situation where we have been unable to continue at a pool we hire. We will never truly give up and will always try and secure another pool .
If anybody is aware of any ( residential) indoor pools that the owners would consider renting out to us then please let us know so we could follow it up and have the discussion.

We would again like to thank you all for your support and choosing Amazonian waters for your child’s swimming development throughout the last year . Please keep your eye on our business page for any updates regarding the securing of a new pool ..

Amazonian waters are re starting their parent and baby/ toddler sessions, the location is a private pool in Carlton in lindrick. Starting Saturday the 18th of February . We were previously based in Retford for over 10 years offering specialist classes but can no longer access that pool. There is also potential to add another 2 hours of sessions for a variety of ages .

Due to non payment to secure places there is spaces in some classes - see below in brackets

Saturday sessions

£80 for a 10 week term ( £8 per session )

10.00am - 10.30 am :1-2 +yrs ( 2 spaces )
10.30am - 11.00am :new born (FULL )
11.00am - 11.30 am : 1-2 +yrs ( 3 spaces)
11.30am - 12.00 : 3-4 yrs ( 3 spaces )
12.00 - 12.30 pm 3-4 yrs ( 3 spaces )
12.30pm- 1.00pm ( 4 + yrs (5 spaces )
1.00pm -1.30 pm ( TBC )
1.30pm -2.00 pm ( TBC )
2.00pm -2.30 pm ( TBC )
2.30pm -3.00pm ( TBC )

The TBC in brackets is pending confirmation from the pool owners and then the age groups most in demand . So please do register your interest for yr little one then hopefully we can accommodate you .
