Before I took Craig’s meditation course I thought I couldn’t meditate for toffee…
I had mindfulness down pat but as soon as I closed my eyes to meditate my brain was all “I wonder if there’s more seagulls in Looe than people..?” OR immediately asleep. There was no middle ground.
I thought it was my fault. I thought my mind was too busy to switch off, I was an over thinker, or I wasn’t trying hard enough.
Having so many tabs always open in my mind lowered my emotional capacity, made me less creative, less effective, and impacted how I engaged with life
But the truth is meditation isn’t about switching off the thoughts, it’s about learning sit back and enjoy the show. It’s finding the stillness that already resides within you.
His course taught me methods of meditation that actually work to slow down my mind.
Methods that don’t lead to frustration or giving up.
Methods that, dare I say it, are actually enjoyable!
Through the course I’ve
- Connected with a place of stillness and grounding that I can access quickly at any time in any situation
- Expanded my emotional capacity so that I can manage my responsibilities with less stress
- Been able to reach some spiritual goals that weren’t possible before
- Experienced how meditation helps me prioritise, focus, and get perspective
- Slept better!
