Wow, what a day! Golfers from across the country arrived at Rushcliffe to compete in the England Golf Race to Woodhall 2026. The winners now go on to play the final at the home of England Golf, Woodhall Spa Golf

We are honoured to be one of just twelve clubs across the country hosting the Race to Woodhall, it’s been a fantastic day highlighting our club and celebrating the sport of golf.

As always, high praise all round for our Greens courtesy of Will and the Greens team plus our hospitality off the course from Anastasiia & co.

A massive thank you to all fantastic our volunteers, referees, staff and, of course, England Golf for asking us to host.

Today is a great example of how The Rushcliffe Golf Club continues to garner recognition far and wide, certifying our spot as a great club and hub for golf of all abilities

This Sunday, The Rushcliffe Golf Club is one of only three clubs across the country hosting the prestigious England Golf ‘The Race to Woodhall Spa’ for 2026. Open to all UK golf clubs, it is perhaps the largest single golf tournament in country.

With this, the area in and around Stocking Lane in East Leake will be considerably busier than normal with over 150 competitors from all over the UK arriving to play.

For your local course this is a significant moment as it will see Rushcliffe designated Championship Venue status by England Golf. This not only raises the club’s profile both in the golfing world but helps promote the local area as well.

Our club, founded in 1909, soon became a county favourite, GCRN Rushcliffe Halt railway station was built specifically to serve the club bringing in golfers from far and wide. Today the club is very much a part of the local community

The club hosts weekly Junior training and is very proud of its thriving Junior section. Rushcliffe welcomes youngsters of all abilities to play the game of golf. This year our juniors are seeing success at both local and regional levels.

Our Ladies section was the first golf club in the county to gain equal playing rights with men. Ever wanted to get into golf? With our Sunday Ladies group golf introductory lessons led by our PGA pros and an ever growing membership, it’s never been easier to get into golf!

The club would be delighted to welcome guests to our famous cliff-side terrace to witness some great golf. Whether you’re new to the game or a life-long linksman, come and enjoy the day and take in some of the best views in Nottinghamshire.

We are so pleased to once again welcome Dunelm to The Rushcliffe Golf Club for another year. Once again, high praise all round for Anastasia Baranova in the clubhouse and William Dobson for the incredible quality of the course.

CEO of Dunelm Group, Bill Adderley, brought the day to a close stating "we would be hard pushed to find better quality greens and hospitality in the Midlands than at Rushcliffe"

Another day we can all be incredibly proud of as a club
