Saturday saw the boys put in another strong league performance against an Albion Rovers team that played some decent football out from the back.

After a few missed opportunities a fine finish from Riley put us one up. With the game finely balanced our opposition were awarded a penalty. Step forward Jay to produce a tremendous safe. A great low dive to his right to ensure we remained in the lead. Despite having a quiet morning till that point our Mr.Reliable saved us again.

Not long afterwards Riley grabbed a 2nd to put us 2 up. Riley was then unlucky not to score his hat trick before half time with an acrobatic overhead kick.

Early into the 2nd half Rueban had a fine finish to put us 3 nil up. From that point onwards our boys proceeded to play some nice football and continued to create chances.

Our 4th goal came from an excellent free kick from around 25 yards. Lewis took a short run up and curled the ball over the wall and into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

Nathan then produced another fine strike to round off the scoring at 5.

Some good performances all over the pitch with Zac and Nathan putting in some strong running and creating chances.

This week's MOTM goes to Riley for his 2 good finishes. He was also a constant pest to their defence throughout the game with his energetic style causing the opposition problems.

It was back to league duty for the boys on Saturday where they put in an excellent team performance.

The boys got off to a good start with David scoring a fine header from a corner early on. We then ran into an early 3 nil lead to take control of the match.

Boys continued to press and chase goals throughout the game before running out 10.2 winners.

One of the pleasing points from the weekend was the way the goals were shared around the team with 8 different goal scores.

Special mention to Ciaran, Nathan and Lewis who all produced excellent finished from outside the box.

MOTM: Was a strong team performance all over the pitch at the weekend with every boy in the squad playing well.

Coaches player of the match goes to Nathan who ran the game from midfield, never missed a pass and produced a sublime finish form his wonder strike.

Back to league action this week after having a week off. The first half didn't bring any goals as it stayed 0-0 but there was plenty of chances evenly split between both teams. Ewan had a chance to put us a goal up but it was unfortunately seen wide. Just as the chances were flooding in for us, we were caught on the counterattack which forced a save from Jay at close range. With the score goalless at half time the boys came into the second half with high hopes. With chance after chance Tyler latched on to a through ball and slotted it comfortably into the bottom corner to break the Burnbank deadlock. Reuben was relentless on the wing today working the Burnbank defenders. Having gone a goal up Burnbank had a large spell of possession and created numerous chances. With the game only having a goal in it both teams were pushing for a goal, and with 10 minutes left Burnbank seen themselves down to 10 men with a second yellow and a reckless tackle. Now a goal up and a man up, YC created a fantastic attack with a scramble to find the back of the net. Reuben slotted it by the keeper to secure the 3 points. An all-round brilliant team performance today with credit to the backline who let nothing slide resulting in a clean sheet. Reuben was a stand out today with not only creating a hand full of chances but getting on the score sheet. Coaches MOTM Reuben, well done Reuben hopefully more to come!
