What an incredible journey it has been for Pop In & Play ❤️ EK Pop In & Play

Since opening in 2023, we’ve welcomed an amazing 14,089 visitors through our doors — averaging 17 visitors every single day. Since moving into our new venue on April 20th, that number has already grown to an average of 20 people per day, showing just how valued this space has become within the community.

None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, with around 20 people giving their time and support each week to help make Pop In & Play such a welcoming and positive environment for everyone involved.

We also took time to remember and celebrate William, whose contribution meant so much to so many. A commemorative plaque was unveiled in his honour and will be proudly displayed over the next year ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported, visited, volunteered, and believed in Pop In & Play so far — this is only the beginning.

🏓 EKTTC Pairs Competition 🏓

We had 11 teams (22 players) take part over two exciting nights on 6th & 13th March—and what a fantastic event it turned out to be!

The format brought together skill, tactics, and teamwork, creating a brilliant balance of competition and fun. Even more impressive was the incredible spirit and camaraderie on display, with players of all ages and abilities partnering up and showcasing the true inclusivity of our club.

A big thank you to Bill Cummings for presenting the awards, and to Board member John Whale for capturing the event so brilliantly with his photos 📸

Finally, a huge thanks to all the players and helpers who made this event such a success—we’re already looking forward to the next inter-club competition! 🙌

Club Connect

Back in February, we were delighted to be involved in the ‘Club Connect’ event hosted by South Lanarkshire Leisure & Cultural Trust’s Sport Development Team. South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture

Held during the school half-term break, 45 young people attended and enjoyed a range of taster sessions from local clubs at the Alistair McCoist Complex. The hall had a fantastic atmosphere, with different sports running throughout, and our volunteers had a great time delivering fun games and introducing the sport to many who were trying it for the first time.

A huge thank you to John, Gus, Iris, Fraser, David, William and Peter for their support on the day.

We would also like to take a moment to remember William Rall who sadly passed away on 28th February. His contribution and presence meant a great deal to us, and he will be deeply missed.
