Our final session last Tuesday was followed by the Club Awards evening.
Our u10s & u12s participated in their tournament ‘Get Togethers’ where we hosted other Clubs. The emphasis on these Get Togethers is to get the kids on court and experience decent court time. All City players received participation medals.
Our Under 14 boys competed in the Strathclyde League Basketball Association (SLBA) Regional League and the SLBA Cup. The squads Most Improved Player (MIP) was Noah Lewis and Most Valuable Player (MVP) was Ewan Cameron.
Our Under 16 Cadet Men also competed in the SLBA. The boys topped their conference and ultimately finished fourth as well as reaching the SLBA Cup Semi-Final. The squads MIP was Gideon Agbola and MVP was Max Periton.
Our Under 18 Junior Men competed in the SLBA and made it to both the League Play-Off Final and the final of the James (Mick) McKechnie Junior Cup Final. The squads MIP was Lucky Inno and MVP was DJ Lima.
A special presentation of the clubs own James (Mick) McKechnie Memorial was made to the Junior Mens Squad Captain Callum Mackenzie. Callum has volunteered his time to assist the Club with coaching, refereeing, tabling and much more. Thank you Callum.
A big thank you to Gavin for taking the photographs of the evening.

On Friday our u14s accepted an invitation from Kirkton Cobras Basketball Club for a friendly fixture. The boys travelled through to Hamilton to enjoy their final game of the season. Excellent to have so many of the boys available and a solid travel support also.
An excellent game saw all the City boys enjoy good court time. Out top scorer on this occasion was Kaine on 13, closely followed by Captain Ewan on 12 and Leo on 10 and it would be Glasgow City who finished with the win. Well done boys. Thank you to Jonathon at Cobras for the invite, much appreciated.
