💤Over half of athletes aren't getting enough quality sleep!
Sleep deprivation can seriously affect your performance, and it will take about 2-3 days for you to regain your energy.
The best athletes know that performance is more than just grinding, good recovery and rest are crucial.
While you sleep, your body releases hormones that promote growth, tissue repair, and metabolism.
Sleeping well will help you be more focused, make better decisions, react faster, and be more agile.
It is important for athletes to focus on improving sleep duration, quality, and timing, and to ease into these changes over time.
Here are some tips for getting a better night's sleep:
🔹️In the late hours of the day, avoid drinking alcohol or caffeine.
🔹️A 30 minute window before bed is the best time to turn off your screens.
🔹️Consider taking a power nap mid-day to recharge
Coffee and alcohol can disrupt your sleep, blue light screens interfere with melatonin production, and naps keep your mind sharp.
