Last nights result (played away as our green was unplayable)
Border League v Burgess Hill

A commendable start to our campaign in the 1st division, in what turned out to be a very close match on all 3 rinks and to be 3 shots in front after 16 ends, and to finish losing by 2 was frustrating.
So a win, a loss and a draw saw us lose the match by 3 - 7

On a cold damp Monday evening.
Felbridge B played our good friends from West Hoathley B in the Nicholas Soames.
Albeit one of the 3 rinks ran away with it the other two were very close.
One being decided by one point on the very last end.
Our last team to finish got home by 2 shots.
Felbridge winning 57 - 40 and taking all 8 points. (as we all know the score doesn't tell the full story)

Afterwards we all had a lovely supper (nice home made cakes) a beer or hot drink and lots of laughs.

When you play your good friends from Horley, the result doesn't really matter.
We all had fun and had some laughs.
The sun shone, not to hot, and the world seemed a better place.
It was a good day finshed off with a beer or a glass of wine.
The result has to be recorded and Felbridge won 87 -75 but the real winner was bowls.
Today was a good day ⚫️⚫️⚫️

It was hot and it was sweaty. No, there was no Betty and its still only May.
When tea was served after 8 ends 2 rinks decided it was too hot to carry on and ended there.
The other 3 rinks played to 14 ends.
Bank winning on the 3 rinks.
If global warming continues we will all end up playing evening games!
