A great day at the office as the first team make it 2 wins in a row. Brilliant with the ball and in the field again including 3-17 from
Martin ( 7 wickets in 3 games) giving the batsmen the freedom to wait for the bad balls and knock the runs off quickly thanks to an 80 run partnership between Lee and Karl 👏

A beautiful evening for cricket for our young U11’s tonight. Thank you to Dan Jones for the match report:

Wow what a match -
Coddington were a strong batting side and raced away with lots of boundaries off our good quality bowling. But as usual EB fielding was brilliant and 6 catches (Archie J had 2 great catches), 2 run outs and 1 bowled (Lucas) meant they were set a target of 264 to win.

All boys batted really well and were cautious so we scored slowly but lost no wickets and ended with just 2 catches against. Toby top scored with 18 and hit some nice boundaries. Excellent running by everyone meant the singles ticked over, but still needed 5 from the last over 🫣

Lucas hit a nice 2 there was a wide and Archie j got a couple of singles, then just dont get out for last 2 balls

Another away day for the 1st team , as they travel north to Caunton CC. James Foster again has the luxury of naming the same eleven following last weeks win.

The decks are lightly shuffled for the seconds as they host Eastwood II. The team will be looking to make it back to back wins following success last Saturday.

A field full of fun!
Friday nights at Butt Field really showcase this amazing village. The younger cricketers learning new skills and the older juniors listening intently to the coaches advice. The pavilion creates new friendships as the families have a drink (or two!) whilst watching the kids play in a safe environment.

One change for the first team as Karl replaces kit, who takes over the gloves in the 2nds.
A tough week for the second team as they had a fantastic 16 players available for this weeks home game which certainly provided a big selection headache!!
Both games start at 1pm with the 1st team away at Farndon and the seconds at home to Sohani.
