It's Day💚

We’d like to say a special thank you to Stephen and the whole greens team for everything they do for Boldon Golf Club.

Much of their hard work takes place before most of us arrive, in all weather conditions, ensuring our members and visitors can enjoy the course at its very best.

It has been another exceptionally busy year, with increased play, a long, dry summer and several improvement projects underway. Despite these challenges, the course continues to go from strength to strength.

Their dedication, commitment and pride in our course make Boldon Golf Club what it is.

Today deserves a special thank you, but we appreciate everything you do all year round.

Full booking for the 2027 Three Collieries Cup opens tonight:

The three-day 4BBB Stableford Open will take place across:

⛳ Friday 18 June – Houghton-le-Spring Golf Club
⛳ Saturday 19 June – Seaham Golf Club
⛳ Sunday 20 June – Boldon Golf Club

Entry remains £120 per pair, with tee times available on a first-come, first-served basis.

THANK YOU FOR A FANTASTIC FAMILY FUN DAY in partnership with Boldon Golf Club, Grace House North East and Vertu BMW Boldon.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Family Fun Day at Boldon Golf Club today despite the rain showers.

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the day. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the day possible — our volunteers, staff, everyone who donated prizes and, of course, everyone who came along and supported the day.

Most importantly, we are delighted to say that over £600 has been raised for Grace House North East, with the final total still to be confirmed.

The Three Collieries Cup returns from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th June 2027:

⛳ Sunday – Boldon Golf Club

The competition is a three-day aggregate 4BBB Stableford Open, and the entry fee remains £120 per pair.

ELIGIBILITY:

- All competitors must be at least 18 years old on Friday 18th June 2027.
- All competitors must have an active WHS Handicap Index.
- All competitors must have a minimum of six qualifying competition rounds recorded during the previous 12 months to be able to win a prize

GENERAL ENTRIES OPEN:

Tee times: 6.30am-3.00pm

Bookings will be managed through Golf Genius, with tee times available on a first-come, first-served basis and the organising committee reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to allow the smooth running of the event.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Boldon Community Family Fun Day this Bank Holiday Monday! ⛳🚗🍕🎉

For anyone attending, there will be a clearly marked and roped-off pathway leading from the car park area to the Practice Area.

As the golf course will remain open with golfers playing throughout the day, please:

➡️ Follow the designated roped pathway at all times
➡️ Read and follow all signage
➡️ Stop and look both ways before crossing any part of the golf course
➡️ Please keep children with you when crossing

There will be signage in place to help everyone reach the Family Fun Day safely.

⛳ YOUR COUNTY CARD IS GOING DIGITAL

Every playing member of a Durham club gets a County Card — free, as part of the affiliation fee you already pay. It gets you a discounted green fee at over 1,300 clubs across the country.

From now on, the card lives in the Golf Genius app. Physical cards are still available from your Club Secretary while stocks last, but they are not being reprinted. Once they're gone, the app is the only way to get one.

Getting the digital card takes two minutes:
1️⃣ Register on the DCGU Golf Genius portal with your WHS/CDH number and surname
2️⃣ Download the free Golf Genius app and sign in
3️⃣ Menu → County Card → add to cart → check out (£0, no payment details needed)
4️⃣ Your card appears in the app — show it on your phone when you book or arrive

43 Durham clubs take part, and your card is valid until your next subscription renewal. Pay your subs, refresh the app, and the expiry updates itself.

Green fees are set by each club — usually the members' guest rate — so always ring ahead to check rates and availability.

🏆 Clark Cup Semi-Finals

The stage is set for two exciting Clark Cup Semi-Finals, taking place this Sunday at Boldon Golf Club.

⛳ Match 1: Bishop Auckland 🆚 Eaglescliffe
⛳ Match 2: Durham City🆚 Seaham

With a place in the Clark Cup Final at stake, both ties promise to be fiercely contested. Across the two matches, spectators can look forward to ten high-quality individual matches, featuring some of the county's finest golfers.

If you're looking for a great day's golf, why not come along and support the players? Everyone is welcome, and your support will be greatly appreciated.
