Yesterday was the club finals day with 8 finals taking place. We had amazing weather and some stunning tennis 🎾. Well done to everyone that took part and played. Big thank you to the volunteers which made the day a great success.

Sunday afternoon at the club saw the first ever Constable Cup in honour of Peter King between East Bergholt and Dedham. Some competitive but friendly matches between the two clubs. East Bergholt came out on top this year with the return at Dedham next year. All monies raised on the day were donated to the Elephant sanctuary in Thailand which was very close to Peter Kings heart ❤️.

Have you ever thought about trying Cardio tennis 🎾? It’s a fun , fitness based class to music that takes place twice a week at the club. Sessions are on Wednesday evenings 7-8pm & Friday mornings 915am-1015am. Not sure what it’s about ? Check out the little video.

Men’s first team enjoyed a good win at Felixstowe yesterday evening. Thanks to Jerome for standing in last minute.

Club members Alex & Ross had a fantastic experience of taking part in Play Your Way to Wimbledon at SW19.
East Bergholt runs the Play your way event annually for adults and juniors.

The lads were unlucky loosing their first match in match tie-break 12-10 followed by another narrow loss.

All at the club are very proud of their achievement.
We look forward to Play Your Way to Wimbledon for next year.

A number of our members including juniors and adults enjoyed taking part in the Framlingham Tennis Tournament. Shane sparrow enjoyed success in the handicapped singles and reached the over 45s doubles final.

I am looking to get a waking tennis 🎾 session going on a regular basis or a taster session at the tennis club.

If you're wondering what walking tennis is, it's a slower-paced version of the traditional game. You can play tennis at any age and it's a great way for seniors to keep both their body and mind active, while also enjoying the social side of being part of a tennis community.

The sesion would run on Monday mornings 10am-11am with a tea / coffee afterwards.

We have some incredibly sad news to share.
Peter King has sadly past away after a short term illness .
Peter was much loved by all at East Bergholt tennis club and the local tennis community.

Peter was team player in many of club teams , attended social functions off the court and was amazing at sponsoring the club for a number of years.

Peters enthusiasm to improve his tennis was infectious.
He will sadly missed by so many people. RIP Peter.
