Couldn’t be more proud of Aspen 💗 (and us 🫣😂!) who jumped a beautiful 70 today and then her first 80 😬 and got placed in both!! Smudge 🌟 was a superstar and took great great care of her. They made it look easy dare I say 🤫. Thank you to Leanne Field and Michaela Russell for all the training it has taken to get them to this point. Aspen has worked really hard on herself and it is paying off. She is having a ball!! Also to our lovely liveries who came to cheer her on today and our home team who are always rooting for us all. It takes a village and what a wonderful one we have at OSH ♥️🙏🏻. Aspen 💗, you are off now!! Here we go!!

This horse is literally my dream come true 🌸. She is everything I hoped for and more 🙏🏻 Emma Metcalf 🥰. Another outing….no f***s given, loaded beautifully and travelled well 👏🏻.

I would book a show but I’ll be mortified when she doesn’t score 100% for just stepping her “perfect” little hoof onto the centre line 😂….so I need to make it all as good as I can first 🙄😉.

Thank you to Jane Jane Acuta for coming to watch her ladyship in action today and for bringing us some wonderful goodies, including a new mane and tail product to try out!

My beautiful Lestingdale girls today 😍🌸. Love 😍, 5, now getting better connection in her transitions and of course then having some fun with Aspen 💗. And Fleur 🌸, 4, now getting much better on the right rein and not leaning on my leg!! Let’s hope that Bayo 💙, 2, who is also by Lestingdale, is just as nice as these girlies to ride at the end of next year 🙏🏻.

Big goals and small wins 💭💬……

I was just spending some quiet Sunday time grooming all of my horses. Whilst grooming Dolly 👑 I was thinking about what a lovely life she has and how although I miss riding her, how very lucky I am to have her. Then the same can be said for Hugo 👑, HRH, as although I am blessed enough to still hack him, I do miss riding him in the school. And more recently, the sadness of not riding Gauds 🍑 any more 😭.

However, it also got me thinking about the whole process. How although I still have big dreams and goals, the small wins along the way mean so much. Ultimately the goal will always be GP…..but equally getting Harry 🤩 round a novice as a new improved relaxed chap meant so much to me this year! As does riding Fleur 🌸 and feeling how I always hoped she would feel to ride when we bought her as a foal. And Koko 🖤 pops finally feeling hot enough to offer me up some resemblance of half steps. Tiva 🚀 who was a right pain to accept a canter transition can now canter half pass like a pro and do a clean change each way. Love 😍 who came back to me and made me believe everything happens for a reason.

It’s so easy to get caught up with what everyone else is doing, what their horses are doing at what age etc etc…but it actually really doesn’t matter. What matters to me is making these horses happy and relaxed athletes who hopefully can have some longevity in their competitive careers. And I love every second of making that happen ♥️.
