Colnes Angling Society

Colnes Angling Society The Colnes Angling Society is a well established club, having celebrated its’ centenary in 2010.

Originally formed for the residents of the four Colnes villages and nearby Chappel,
membership is now open to any angler who wishes to join. In 1910 the Society
began by renting stretches of the River Colne, however over the ensuing years
the Society has acquired the fishing rights to a number of still waters and
additional stretches of river. The acquisition of the popular Pebmarsh Lake in the

1970’s saw a rapid growth in membership, which currently stands at around 400. Our club offers excellent fishing, in beautiful locations, for pleasure, specimen and
match anglers alike.

ANGLING COACHING INITIATIVE

Junior coaching has started again with the Angling Coaching Initiative which as you may be aware the KDAA is part of together with five other local fishing clubs, including Colnes Angling Society.

Please see the ACI website for information on dates and venues at Angling Coaching Initiative - Coaching
The £10-17 fee per participant includes all tackle and bait.

We are seeking new participants for the sessions being held during the summer up to October. Participants can attend as many sessions they may wish. Parents etc are also encouraged to take part.

Can you share this post with anybody you know whose children, 8 to 16, would be interested in giving angling a go and may not have somebody to take them and show them what to do or a novice junior angler who would like to develop their skills.
