I don't tend to post before and afters as there's so much more to every client's transformation than just aesthetics. However, I thought this one deserves a special mention after featuring in National News following a viral TikTok.

Lucy came to me as an online client having had her second child and looking to make a change. With two children, breastfeeding, a busy job and so many plates to spin, it was never going to be straight forward nor instant but her consistency has resulted in losing 7 stone .... And keeping it off!

She dropped the weight by the following means:

๐Ÿ’ซ Sticking to a moderate but safe calorie deficit (as still breastfeeding)
๐Ÿ’ซ Ensuring her diet was high in protein and fibre to promote satiety and level blood sugar
๐Ÿ’ซ Starting weight training again to build muscle and boost metabolism
๐Ÿ’ซ Focus on a daily step target (movement throughout the day is so key)

Nothing revolutionary here, just the fundamentals done consistently over a year. So very proud of you Lucy!

If you want to develop muscle you've got to be in it for the long run. Changing your physique is like growing a garden ... Every day you're going to look at it and think nothing is happening, a few shoots popping up here and there, a little visible growth once in a while but so little changing on the daily that it seems pointless.

But you keep pulling up the weeds, planting seeds and watering your efforts until one day, years down the line you sit back and realise it was all worth it ๐Ÿคฉ

Any challenge is going to be harder with children. Making your goals a priority is difficult when you're burnt out, overwhelmed and bottom of your to do list.

Quitting can feel like a default when things get tough and that's when you have to dig deep, take a deep breath and remember you've got this, it might just take a little longer than it did before. Those small daily victories WILL add up.
