How's the new year resolutions going? January has been and gone, we're half way through February already! Time moves fast and if your looking to get fit, healthy and strong, take the steps to improve it now, time waits gor noone! 11yrs and I've never really shared much about myself on insta (some would say in general! 🫣)
I'm a forty something year old personal trainer with a strong background in sports and injury recovery having spent a fair amount of time in the physio room myself.
I used to play football at a decent level, playing in youth football at Westham, Chelsea before playing conference level before where I broke my leg, which led to me taking a scholarship to play 'soccer' in Oaklahoma of all places.
I returned to UK, discovered after numerous hamstring and groin injuries that I had broken my back! ( turned out to be a fractured facet joint and ruptured disc, which lead to a disc replacement operation. Recovery went well, until a taxi driver decided to run in to my car, leading to another 6months of rehab and I'll still get the odd issue if I try to run with any effort. This all lead to me changing career paths and becoming a personal trainer alongside football coaching (UEFA B)

Ive been training in now for 11yrs and have coached a multitude of different people from business men and women, to competive international sports women. I sadly dont coach football anymore as I would never see my beautiful family and some things are more important.

I'm sure there's a bit more but I'm waffling! I'm not a fan of all this social media sharing, but this is the world we're in now I guess.

It's been a long time since I've posted anything on here, turns out having kids takes up a lot of extra time! Who'd have thought it!

Anyway, I've changed my working hours this month and have opened up more slots for pt and small group pt.

If you're the type of person who needs a bit of a push to get to the gym, or enjoys working out with people rather than by their selves, come and try my Afterburn small group sessions, (been going strong for 8yrs now 👀) we have 3-5 people per session, weights personalised to your ability, training 1-4 times a week, workout results are tracked for the next session and generally we change workouts each month.

Mixture of hypertrophy, strength endurance and mobility help you to get fitter stronger and sit up taller in your chair at work!

Hi all, I'm running free trial sessions next week 20'th-25'th November at 'The Gym' and I have a free day pass so you can try out a session without committing to the gym.
