🏉 We’re Building Something Bigger Than Coaching…

Every young player deserves the opportunity to develop, build confidence and enjoy rugby in a positive, supportive environment.

Every coach deserves opportunities to learn, share ideas and continue developing too.

That’s why we’re building Rugby Rockstars.

Our vision is simple.

To create sustainable opportunities that help young players reach their potential, support the development of coaches and strengthen grassroots rugby across our communities.

We want to work with rugby clubs, complementing the fantastic work they already do. Our aim is to help create more opportunities for boys and girls to play, develop and enjoy rugby, while also supporting coaches to grow whilst increase team numbers.

We’re exploring ways to provide additional opportunities through:

🏉 Train with a friend sessions

🏉 Small group skills coaching

🏉 Rugby Rockstars Academy sessions

🏉 Position-specific coaching

🏉 Holiday camps

🏉 Coach development and mentoring

Before we take the next step, we want to make sure we’re building something that players, parents, coaches and clubs genuinely want and value.

That’s why we’re inviting our first Founding Families to help shape Rugby Rockstars.

We’ve created a short 3–4 minute survey to help us understand:

✅ What additional opportunities would benefit young players

✅ Which age groups have the greatest demand

✅ Preferred coaching formats, days and locations

✅ How we can best support players, coaches and clubs

This isn’t a booking form and there’s absolutely no obligation. We’re simply listening to the rugby community before making any decisions.

🏉 Little thing to try on Thursday …

No one to practise passing and catching with?

Grab a rugby ball and start throwing it up in the air and catching it. As you improve, throw it higher and higher, then challenge yourself by walking around while catching it.

✅ Practise both hands
✅ Keep your eyes on the ball
✅ Remember, the catch is just as important as the pass

Just make sure you’ve got plenty of space and don’t start launching rugby balls around the house! 😂

🏉 CONFIDENCE STARTS WITH TECHNIQUE 🏉

Great work from all the players tonight as we focused on one of the most important skills in rugby – tackling.

We worked through:

👣 Stepping into the tackle circle
👀 Eyes up and looking through the target
💪 Dropping into a strong body position
🤝 Active arms to connect and wrap
➡️ Driving forward through contact

For some players, it meant a little re-education, but that’s exactly what training is for.

Good tackling isn’t something players do occasionally. It’s a skill that becomes natural through repetition, confidence and great habits.

Every session we are building players who can tackle safely, effectively and with confidence every time they step onto the field.

We have a limited number of spaces available for private rugby coaching sessions.

Our focus is simple: helping young players build confidence, develop their skills, and enjoy their rugby.

Sessions cover all the core areas of the game, including:

✅ Kicking
✅ Decision-making
✅ Position-specific skills

Most importantly, we work with each player, helping them understand what works best for them, develop their own style of play, and gain the confidence to try new things on the pitch.

Whether your child is new to rugby, looking to improve specific skills, or aiming to take their game to the next level, these sessions are tailored to their needs.
