M1s vs Oxted

On Saturday afternoon the DUHC M1s will take on Oxted in one of the most important matches in the club's long and illustrious history. The survival battle all comes down to these 70 minutes.

A win will mean we have done all we can and have to wait for other results to go our way. A loss will mean relegation. It is an All or Nothing Story (Amazon Prime documentary will air soon) of monumental proportion.

It would be fantastic to see as many faces down at MC as possible, hockey players, coaches, umpires, and general sports fans.

All we ask is that you bring:
1. Passion
2. Noise
3. Anything palatinate/purple that you can find

We cannot wait to see you all down at the side of the pitch for what will surely be a display of scintillating hockey, mouth-watering action, and more drama than you could shake a stick at.

This will not be one to miss.

Introducing our BUCS Wednesday charity game! We are supporting SENSE UK, a charity that works with people with complex disabilities doing outreach projects and has created a virtual buddy system helping prepare the people it works with for post-COVID life.

There will be music, half-time entertainment and some class hockey on show with both the W1s and M1s playing. Wristbands cost £4 and include entry to Players Bar that night!

Look out for members of DUHC selling wristbands outside the library over the next couple of days or just drop our social media accounts a message for more information!

And a final congratulations to the whole of DUHC for earning Club of the Year in the Team Durham Palatinate Awards 2020! With a record 5 teams making BUCS Finals and multiple promotions across the club, it’s clear to see the hard work from the players, coaches, and supporters from August right through to March has paid off. A fitting end to an incredible season!!
