If any of you come across this missing paddle from a dinghy at pontoon the owner would like to have it back. He cannot replace it and one is no use.

Dinghies belonging to two local residents have been vandalised at the pontoon in the last week. On one, the seat was broken and on the other dinghy one paddle was removed. Any information regarding this situation can be communicated by private message. Sad state of affairs.

We are delighted to inform everyone that the safety ladder has been installed. It is situated at the end of the pontoon along with an extra item of life saving equipment. This in no way lessens the advice to be careful when using the pontoon, especially children.
Many thanks to Roy Buckner from Skye Mobile Welding and to Alan Gordon.

Due to a tip off from a member of the public the life bouy was located and retrieved intact and is now back on station. Many thanks to all involved in this operation 😊.

Just to let you know that the life buoy and throwing line have disappeared from the community pontoon bridge. Hopefully this was caused by weather. A new one has been ordered. Until this is replaced place take extra care when using this facility.

Visitor Moorings Maintenance 2024/25
We decided to renew the pick-up strops on the visitor moorings, but given the poor weather, and consequently reduced yacht numbers, we will now not replace them until Spring 2025. They have been purchased from Gael Force and are safely tucked away until next year. This purchase was fully funded by Dunvegan Community Trust who continue to support us and we are very grateful for their help

We have just completed refurbishing our six visitor moorings with new riser chain and pickups. This has been made possible with a grant from Dunvegan Community Trust and the work carried out at minimal cost by Neil Morrison, Feorlig Marine and the Association extends its gratitude to both parties.

Work in hand to improve the alignment of the pontoon and bridge system. Again, this is entirely down to Neil Morrison with some very helpful assistance from John Macsween. Big vote of thanks to both.

There have been quite a few boats in already this year and our feedback is very positive. The facility is much appreciated and can only enhance the recovery of Dunvegan as a destination. Iain Houston, Loch Dunvegan Community Moorings.
