24/06/2022

Good class last night.
To begin with, we looked at San Shin no Kata, but with a more in depth study of the movement that helps make the technique and ensuring correct kamae and distance.

We then commenced a study of the Kukishinden Ryu Kodachi techniques.

Great to have seen some more of students back on the mats as well 😃

A school of Nine traditional Japanese Martial Arts, suitable for men and women, which has many applications for today's modern times.

Following the UK Prime Ministers announcement in parliament today, regarding further long term COVID-19 control measures, the Bujnkan Sevenoaks Dojo will remain closed for at least the next 6 months, unless the restrictions are relaxed in the meantime and personal contact training can safely resume.

03/08/2020

Given that the current UK COVID situation has not improved, and shows very little sign of improving, I have taken the decision to postpone the re-opening of the Bujinkan Sevenoaks Dojo for the foreseeable future.
At the moment, I cannot say for certain if we will be having any classes before the end of this year.

We are pleased to announce that socially distanced training will resume at the Bujinkan Sevenoaks Dojo on the 6th August.

Although we can have no person to person physical contact during training for the duration of the current COVID 19 situation, we will base training around the study of basics, which can be done as solo exercises, including some weapons basics.

Training will be run along the lines of a beginners course for the first few weeks.

Please note that you will be required to supply your own PPE e.g. face masks/face coverings/face shields etc.

In view of the most recent Govt COVID 19 control measures, the club will still continue to remain closed until further notice.

In the meantime, should you have any questions regarding training at the club, when this is able to resume, please feel free to ask.

As you will no doubt be aware now, the Government has this afternoon instructed all schools to close until further notice with effect from Friday.
Therefore, as we use the school hall, it is only right that we continue with the suspension of training until the school's are given clearance to reopen.

I know that this will be an annoyance/disappointment to you, but given the rapid spread and increase in cases, we must all do as much as we can to slow the spread.

I do not know how long we will have to suspend training for, but in the meantime please try and do as much home training as you can. And please feel free to contact me if you need any advice.

16/03/2020

Following the PM's Press Conference and the advice from the Chief Medical Officer & the Chief Scientific Officer today, I have taken the decision to suspend training at the club until the 2nd April.

I will review the situation on the 30th March.
We will look to recommence training on the 2nd April, pending further advice form Government & the school being open.

In the meantime, please use this time to work on your home studies, any training notes or study Soke's DVD's produced by Quest Station.
Please also take the time to look after your health in accordance with current Public Health England/NHS advice.
