Along with their families, the club would like to announce the passing of two Barbarian family members; Andrew 'Harry' Bishop and Richard Cook.
Both Harry and Richard will be remembered for their character and frequent support on the sidelines on match days, whether that be watching their sons (Dan, Tom and Martin) play or their grandchildren in the minis.
Today the club remembers them both. Harry and Richard's grandchildren lowered the club flag to half-mast, and a moment of reflection took place with family and friends.

📢Minehead Barbarians Rugby Club proudly presents our Barbarians Super 6s Touch Rugby Competition!📢
This marks our first official venture into the sport, which is played at both national and international levels by our very own Vicki Stevens—as both a player and a national squad coach.
Touch rugby is a fast-paced, skill-based, non-contact version of the game we all love. As a mixed-gender sport, it allows players across different age groups to compete together safely. For this first round of fixtures, we will focus on two key age brackets: ages 12–15 and ages 14 to Senior Adult, ensuring players are placed in the group best suited to their ability.
We will be playing to RFU Touch Rugby rules with official refereeing provided. These initial fixtures are open to anyone in the eligible age groups—just turn up and play! As the sport grows locally, we plan to form community leagues to play year-round.
If this sounds like the game for you, we’d love to see you on the pitch!
EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday, 12th September
Time: 12pm– 3pm
Ages: 12–15 Years | 14–Senior Adult
Teams: 6 players on the pitch (4/2 gender split)
Dress Code: Suitable sports clothing (moulded studs only)

Here’s a picture of some of the founding fathers and players , 1947/48 season . Holding the ball is my Granfer William Webber one of the four original post war founding members I believe .
Sitting to his right is one of his sons my uncle Colin Webber and directly behind him is another son my uncle kelvin Webber . Can anyone help with the other names ?
