AFC Dunster

AFC Dunster The Official page of AFC Dunster. AFC Dunster is a Sunday League football club based in Somerset, England. Finishing second best on both occasions.

The club was founded in the early 1900's under the name A.F.C. Dunster, though an actual date is yet unknown. The club was re-established in 1983 under the name Dunster AFC. After competing in the Taunton Sunday Football League between 1983 and 2009, the club failed to comply with league regulations due to a lack of playing staff and withdrew from competition. In June 2011 work began to re-instate

AFC Dunster back into the league. The 2012-2013 season saw Dunster compete in the Keyline Taunton Sunday League Third Division in which they won promotion after a fourth place finish. The club played in the League's Second Division. Where they reached the Mike Whitehead Cup Final two seasons running. The 2014/15 season saw the club gain promotion to the League's First Division for the first time. However midway through the the 2016/17 campaign the club again withdrew from competitive football due to a lack of players. The club returned to action again for the start of 2020/2021 season, entering the Keyline Somerset Sunday League.
