Onto overall winners! In the Blue Class 🔵 we had 3 local pilots on the podium, with British team member Claudia Hill .gliding taking the top spot, with Sally Walker giving an incredibly strong performance in 2nd, and regular star Malcolm Birch in 3rd. It was a very tight competition right to the end of 6 challenging flying days, so well done to all 🥳

On the last competition day, we unexpectedly managed to get both classes flying, with most pilots completing the task, which was the first time this week for some 🥳 Well done to all and to Jan from snatching victory from the jaws of a field landing in Red 🔴 and James for winning the hotly contested short race in blue 🔵 Overall results to follow (sneak peek at the prizes 👀)

Wow, what a busy weekend flying after 3 scrub days in a row! Let's recap Saturday, where we set our longest tasks (up to 300km) and had unexpected clouds damp things down. Nevertheless, Debbie in Red and Sally in Blue both made it round to win the day, well done both! ☁️

While our competitors have some well deserved rest today I can use my incredible editing skills to bring James onto the Blue Class podium, with Claudia again taking the victory on our big complicated Assigned Area Task 🔵 Well done to Rhoan as well for a commanding win in Red Class! 🔴 Tomorrow we're heading back to the grid for more flying 🏁

Yesterday was HOT 🔥 Thanks to stellar efforts from Oli (our champagne awardee) and others, we got both classes round 150km tasks. Well done to Nick (flanked by local troublemakers Justin and Stefan) for winning Red Class 🔴 and visitor James for winning in Blue 🔵 One more day of heat in progress now before an expected and much needed rest 😴

Yesterday's winning theme was "R" with Rhoan in Red Class winning with the lowest performance glider and Rolph in Blue with his first ever day win!! Another hot blue day in the bag. Tim is our Champagne moment winner for selfless commitment to retrieving others from fields after flying in the heat 🥵🥂

Day 2 is wrapping up at sunny Dunstable and I'm still catching up with scores from day 1 🙃 Big congratulations to Cloudy and Nick for winning the day in Blue and Red classes respectively 🏆 Plenty of great achievements including William for flying his first competition day having finished repair work to his glider just in time, winning our champagne moment 🍾 More to follow 😎
