Barbell Deadlift
Works the entire posterior chain (rear of the body).
It’s also the exercise performed most commonly incorrectly.
Most think about pulling the bar, and thus end up lifting with their back…..
You want the movement to be initiated through your legs, not your back. Although your back will be active throughout, the exercise is initiated through a hip hinge, not flexion of the spine.

Struggling with how to perform this exercise, send us a video and we will help you with how to improve your deadlift.

Believe it or not, sleep may be the exact reason why others seem to progress much faster than you are. Or why you just aren’t seeing the results you were hoping for despite putting in the work.
-
The findings of a 2010 study by the American College of Physicians for example helps put this into perspective.
Researchers split subjects into two groups:
➡ one that slept 8.5 hours per night (which is within the range of what most experts recommend)
➡ another group that slept only 5.5 hours per night.
-
Both groups were then put on a regulated calorie deficit for two weeks
-
The result❓
-
Well, as expected, both groups lost the same amount of weight given that their calorie deficit was equated for. But what’s interesting is when you look at the composition of the weight they lost… the sleep deprived group lost 60% more muscle mass and 55% less fat than the group that got adequate sleep.
-
Therefore indicating that sleep seems to have a powerful effect on not only muscle recovery, growth, and retention but also fat loss. Now although the researchers didn’t test why exactly this was the case, other research does provide some insight.
-
1⃣ Sleep helps prevents muscle breakdown and promotes fat loss.
2⃣ Sleep impacts your testosterone levels.
3⃣ Sleep affects your workout performance.

How many hours sleep do you get on average a night?

Many eat well throughout the week, while they have a structured routine, but blow it out at the weekend.

In order to lose weight you must be in a negative energy balance ,regardless of diet followed.
This is simply you burn more than you consume.

1Lb of Fat in the human body is equal to 3500 calories.

Divide 3500 calories by 7 Days in a week, equals 500 calories.

If you burnt off 500 calories more than you consumed on average a day, on average over a week you would lose 1Lb.

But the harsh reality is people over consume on the weekend and can lead to being in a caloric surplus. Resulting in gaining weight.
If you feel you’re not losing weight but you’re “eating well”
Try tracking everything you eat in a tracker or a journal for a week.

You’ll be surprised how many calories are in certain foods, and how little calories there are in other types of food.

How much money have you spent on 💩 that does not work?

Don’t be a victim of manipulative, falsely advertised products.

No product can make you lose weight.
I’ll say it again, hopefully it will sync in
NO PRODUCT CAN MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT!

You can only lose weight by adhering to a caloric deficit.
(Negative Energy Balance)

And I get it, this isn’t helpful to someone that is struggling to lose weight.

But what’s also isn’t helpful is wasting your time with products that do naff all for you.
