We hosted the Berwickshire and Borders ladies championship of champions today with 16 (not 26 as stated in previous post) attended.

Some fantastic bowling from the first round all the way through to the final.

Congratulations to Laura Lightbody, Jedburgh and commiserations to Jill Borthwick, Selkirk who served up a cracking final for the spectators.

Berwickshire Ladies president Val Angus thanked the green staff, markers, umpires, catering and all who helped make the day a success.

A huge thank you to Duns Park Bowling Club who hosted the event today for Berwickshire President Val Angus. Grateful thanks to all the members for marking duties and the bar and catering staff. Thank you also to the umpires who gave their time for the benefit of the players.

Second round of the KO cup tonight. We played Chirnside at a far from tropical Spittal. Another close game, 4-4 on points, unfortunately we came up short 48-53 on shots.

Good luck to Chirnside for the rest of the tournament.
