Duns Junior Open 🏌️‍♂️

First held since 2019 – a fantastic return!

Well done to all 23 boys who competed in the Duns Junior Open. Played in tough, windy conditions, the event welcomed players from across the Borders, East Lothian and Edinburgh, with handicaps stretching from 1 right through to 36 – making for a brilliant, competitive field.

Local lad Oscar Millar got things off to a flying start, returning the very first card: an excellent 81-20-61, and it stood as the best all day… until the very last player finished! Step forward Ben Raeburn (Jedburgh), who carded a terrific 87-30-57 to take top spot, continuing his fine form after winning at Schloss Roxburghe just last week. He has no doubt woken to a healthy handicap cut this morning!

Taking the Gross Prize was Oliver Wight (Hawick), with an impressive 74 – excellent scoring in such testing wind.
