It’s still bright but the temperature is definitely dropping - however as always there is a warm welcome waiting here in the bar - and if you bring your thermals, perhaps a hot water bottle or two and a blanket - there are still spectacular sunsets to watch in the early evening 🍻🍷🍾☕️

Lord’s Appearance Caps Outstanding Season for Dunnington’s Ryan Dasari

Dunnington Cricket Club youngster Ryan Dasari celebrated a memorable milestone when he represented the York MCC Foundation Hub at the National Hub Finals at Lord’s.

Ryan opened the batting for the York Under-15 side at the Home of Cricket, fulfilling a long-held ambition and earning deserved recognition for his hard work, dedication and talent.

Known for his aggressive approach at the top of the order, Ryan is also a versatile bowler and has become an important member of Dunnington’s junior and senior teams. Despite being only 14 for most of the season, he has represented all four of the club’s senior sides and demonstrated impressive consistency and composure against experienced adult players.

His performances have placed him fifth in the Division Two Galtres batting rankings, while he has also passed the remarkable milestone of 2,000 runs across all competitions this season.

Ryan’s cricketing development extends beyond his club. In addition to representing the MCC Foundation York Hub, he plays for the Yorkshire Schools Cricket Association and trains with the MACC High Performance Academy.

He recently toured the Netherlands, where he faced international opposition from the Netherlands and Ireland and was identified as one of the Academy’s leading performers. Another exciting opportunity awaits in October, when he is due to tour Sri Lanka.

Reaching the National Hub Finals and opening the batting at Lord’s provided a fitting conclusion to an exceptional summer for a young player who has already made a considerable impression in junior and senior cricket.
