Sandbag throws over 4.2m bar. 14kg, 16kg, 18kg.
Ive wanted to try this for years! I'm very long limbed, so knew I'd have an advantage, but I didn't expect it to be so knackering. It's a bit like grip strength, you're first try is your strongest, then things start to snowball.

did a good job making the frame. Even in the wind tunnel beside the gym, it was pretty solid.

Lynsey has officially lost 3 stone ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ

Whatโ€™s most impressive? She only trained in the gym for 1 hour per week. No extreme diets, no endless cardio, no unsustainable routines.

Through consistency, better meal choices, a loose diet structure, and regular walking/running, her progress has been steady, stress-free, and sustainable ๐Ÿ’ช

This is proof that you donโ€™t need to live in the gym to completely transform your body and health.

If youโ€™re looking to: โœ… Lose weight
โœ… Build muscle
โœ… Prepare for a wedding or photoshoot
โœ… Improve sports performance
โœ… Learn proper nutrition and healthy habits

Whatโ€™s really keeping you from losing weight?

Most people think itโ€™s just about eating too much or not moving enough โ€” but thatโ€™s rarely the full story. The truth? For many, excess weight has deeper psychological roots.

When clients come to me for weight loss, I set that as a secondary goal โ€” because when you approach things the right way, fat loss becomes a by-product. The real goal? Tackling whatโ€™s underneath the habits.

Sometimes it's about reducing the side effects of illness ๐Ÿฉบ. Other times, it's improving daily performance and energy โšก. But often, it's about uncovering why someone eats the way they do.

Ask yourself:

Are you actually hungry when you eat?

Is it boredom? ๐Ÿ’ค

Has snacking just become part of your routine? โฐ

Or does it stem from an emotional response?

One thing Iโ€™ve seen time and again is the use of food as a form of control.
Not a lack of willpower โ€” but a way of reclaiming power in a life that feels dictated by work, family, or relationships.
Food becomes your safe space โ€” your moment of freedom โ€” even your escape ๐Ÿ›‘

The game-changer?
Recognising that first domino. Because once you stop that from falling, the whole chain reaction can end.

If this hit home โ€” and youโ€™re ready to take back control of your eating habits, health, and results โ€” then Tailored Nutrition is your next step.
Weekly check-ins, structured diet plans, and real accountability โ€” designed around you.

Would you like this translated into another language? If so, which one?

120kg Atlas Stone over 4ft bar - Had to take almost a month off training due to an injury, but it was worth it. All of my lifts have shot up from the extended recovery phase.
Last time I did stones I couldn't even break the ground with 110kg, but it flew up for 2 reps with just chalk yesterday.
Tried tacky for the first time and the difference it makes it's hilarious! First rep of 120 felt very easy, too bad I didn't pay attention to my distance from the bar on the 2nd attempt, or it would have flew over as well lol.
Decided to leave it there for this week, and not risk a reinjury. But it feels good to be back on track.

New PB 240kg deadlift. Had this in me for months, but I kept messing around with a bendy deadlift bar, which was holding me back for some reason. First time trying it on an Olympic bar and it went up.

Another great comp at .total yesterday. I was on the fence about competing due to knee injuries and being sick on and off through my prep, but I'm glad I did.
Always nice to meet new people in the strongman community, truly the most supportive and welcoming sport I've been a part of.

I was sitting in 2nd place out of 15 by event 3, then my CNS really took a nose dive in the final 2, dropping me to 10th place haha. Not upset at all by it as I think I'm still not fully recovered from my 3 week cold ๐Ÿ˜‘.

Deadlift and Log were the 2 events I wanted to do well in and I'm happy with how I did. Pushed my DL from 220 to 252.5 over this training block, and I almost got 10 reps on a 77.5kg log in 75 seconds.

100kg Husafell bag run was brutal! I got to 70m and my eyesight started to dim. A truly humbling event.

Hammer hold was always going to be a flip of a coin for me. I've done 60 seconds in the gym, but only managed 45 seconds yesterday before the cramps kicked in.

95kg per hand farmers carry was last and by that point I was crashing bad. Ended up dropping it, but got it back up and finished.

All in all it was a great day and we saw some incredible performances. Need to take a season off to let my knees rehabilitate, but by the summer I should be a lot stronger and my conditioning will be on another level.

P.s. Thanks to you for the nutritional help. That peak week carb load really pulled me out of a hole.

I'll be doing a 30 min intro to strongman training this Wednesday at .uk Lisburn, as part of a 4 class special.
It's very beginner friendly and a great way to learn alternative ways to do cardio in a fun way.
Will be a bit of sandbags, deadlift, and overhead. Weights won't be thst heavy, as it's more about technique than anything.

I'm still rehabilitating my knees, so push press is off the cards for a week or 2. But progress is still being made. My strict press has always been strong so if I could properly bring my legs into it without issues my log would be way way up lol.

Told myself I wouldn't get back on a treadmill again after my last photo shoot prep, but it's my honeymoon in Feb and I suppose that's a good excuse to tidy things up.

Since the shoot I wanted to go from as lean as possible to as heavy as possible within one year, shifting from bodybuilding to strongman. So far I've put on 14kg of which only 7% has been bodyfat, so I'm very happy with my off bulk season.

But weight gain at that speed has its risks. With so much calorie dense foods, my iron levels and red blood cell production has wandered into the red, and my blood pressure had increased.

Make sure to get a full MOT including blood work every 6 months to monitor a safe and productive progression with whatever you are aiming for.

I will perform better at strongman at a heavier weight, but things need to level out before I go into another bulking phase.

Train smart, and train safe.
