Blevins and Gaffney double act at the NEFTA!
The NEFTA Classic is a truly unique event which combines the precision, discipline and standing technique of silhouettes with Field Target. Only the best can master the skill set and mental fortitude required! 80 FT targets and 80 silhouettes shot over two days, 160 targets of sheer concentration and craic. Hosted by the crew at Emely Moor FTC in a beautiful Hazel wood with a dense blue carpet of bluebells.
Mark Blevins shot his way to the AA grade title, with top score of 145 ex 160. He narrowly missed out on the Overall champion title in a tense shoot-off with eventual winner Lee Hadlington.
Jack Gaffney has put in a serious shift this season was rewarded for his efforts and he clinched the B grade title with style. In only his 3rd big competition he put on a heroic display of shooting on the FT course and put many seasoned shooters to shame. Jack had a total of 117pts which put him in 21st overall.
Adam Lawson was 8th in A grade and finished 24th overall on 113pts.
Congratulations lads you’ve kept the Irish flag flying in style.
