What a day… finally blew the cobwebs off the 1 series and took her for a blast round knockhill!

It’s been 3 years since I was last out as Tommy took up karting so I’ve been busy on the tools for him. He’s car mad so I’ve been looking forward to get him out with me in the car. He was absolutely buzzing and so was I! Out doing skids with my boy 💙 Tommy Burgoyne Motorsport

Round 1 - Teesside

Practice Friday & Saturday went really well considering I’ve hardly spent any time on the car over the winter.

Sunday morning practice - got suspension damage on drivers rear. Which was quickly fixed by the team and I was ready for qualifying at 12.

Qualifying - scored a 93 point run which put me into third position and gave me a straight pass into the top 16 battles 😎

Battles - managed to get right down to the final, which went to a one more time. I finished 2nd place, just didn’t have enough pace.

Can’t have a weekend without a bit of drama, our bus wheel came slack on the A66, managed a temporary repair to get us to a services where the team stayed over night. I hitched a lift from James Young home to get Joe Hempstead with the tools and parts to fix it. We got it fixed and back on the road, got home at 5pm Monday night thankfully, as could have been so much worse!

Even with that said - What a weekend - sunshine, podium and just a great time!

What a weekend down at Three Sisters Circuit for the British Drift Championship.

Feels good to finally have the car working, it ran flawless all weekend. Making progress and learning more as we go!

Qualifying went well with a 90 point run putting me 7th place heading into the battles with a strong grid of drivers.

Highlight of the weekend was progressing through my battles to top 8 & going up against Conor Shanahan. We had a good battle but we dialled too much rear grip into the car with a tyre change & pressures which caught us off guard as we sent it into clip 1 in the lead position & going off track which gave Conor the win.

Mac Frost & the BDC Team put on an amazing weekend once again.

Thanks to all my sponsors & for all the messages of support. Special shout out to my Dad John Burgoyne for travelling up and down the country.

Had a great weekend, weather was amazing and Tommy just loved every minute (apart from the walking🤣)
