One of the biggest realizations we continue to see as we work with kids every day is this: Childhood has changed.

Today’s kids are growing up in what many experts call a device-based childhood, which looks very different from the play-based childhood most parents experienced.

Less time outside
Less unstructured play
More screens
More digital interaction

And this shift can impact:

This is JKN Lysander 👊

And his journey is exactly why Evolution Martial Arts exists.

JKN Lysander has been training with us since Primary 1… and like many young people, his path hasn’t always been straightforward.

With dyslexia and dyspraxia, learning new skills, remembering his forms, and coordinating movement can be challenging.

But..…

🥋 He didn’t quit
🥋 He didn’t get left behind
🥋 He didn’t get treated differently

Instead… he was supported every step of the way.

Through patience, structured progression, and the right coaching environment, JKN Lysander has:

✔ Built real confidence
✔ Developed strong friendships
✔ Achieved his Black Belt
