Carnegie Masters at the Scottish Masters Short Course Championships

After two great days of racing at Tollcross International Swimming Centre, the Carnegie masters won 17 medals 👏

The debutants got straight into medal winning. Here were the fantastic results from all our swimmers:

⭐️Taylor Hutton (18-24) won golds in the 100 Free and 100 Fly, along with a bronze in the 100 IM.

⭐️Lucy Atherton (18-24) took gold in the 800 Free and silver in the 200 Back.

⭐️Barry Clinton (50-54) returned to masters racing after 13 years and won double gold in the 100 & 50 Breast, plus bronze in the 50 Free

⭐️Claire Thomson (25-29) won gold in all four of her events (400 IM, 200 IM, 200 Free, 200 Fly)

⭐️Lara Ferguson (45-49) won bronze in the 100 Breast.

⭐️Kieran Carter (18-24) swam 6 personal bests, and also won bronze in the 400 Free.

⭐️Janet McLean (50-54) broke 3 Scottish age group records winning the 800, 200 & 400 Free, and also won gold in the 200 Fly!

Congratulations to everyone on a successful meet - and a huge thank you to Lynn Carter for keeping everyone right. She even had sweeties to keep up the energy! 🍬😂

Fantastic result at the Forth Valley Junior League!

Congratulations to our swimmers from JD, Sharks, Dolphins and Minnows 1 for your incredible efforts today, getting us our joint best finish in a Forth Valley Junior League Gala since we started in the competition last year. 👏

We were 2nd out of the 5 teams today!

Thanks to everyone that helped poolside and officiating at the gala, it's much appreciated.

The good news keeps coming at Carnegie!

We’re delighted to share that five Carnegie swimmers have been selected to represent East District at the Inter Counties meet in Sheffield at the beginning of October.

They did it! 💪

A huge well done to our swimmers and parents who took on the MacTuff Challenge to raise funds towards our Lanzarote warm weather camp.

There was mud, water, obstacles and plenty of determination along the way! The swimmers were brilliant. The parents survived. 😂

They’ve raised an amazing £1,475 of their £1,500 target!
