Dunfermline Tennis Club This is the official page for the Dunfermline Tennis Club. She opened the courts with a packed clubhouse and since then the club has never looked back.

In 2006, Dunfermline became the first tennis club in the whole of Scotland to have 'Classic Clay' courts put in. Judy Murray, mother of men's Wimbledon singles winner Andy Murray and captain of the Great Britain Fed Cup team, came down to the club where she played at many times as a junior and occasionally brought down the now global tennis stars that are Andy and Jamie. Later on that year it was

awarded Tennis Scotland 'Club of the Year' and since then has also won 'Tournament of the Year'. The whole club (juniors in particular) have benefited vastly from the coaching expertise Alan & Michael Russell have been able to bring. Alan is a 2-time Scotland Coach of the Year winner, and has also been nominated on a shortlist for British Coach of the Year! The number of juniors competing at a high level is staggering as last season from ages of under 8's to under 14's the club dominated the East of Scotland leagues winning a large number of them and finishing runners-up in others. The women's team however, has had unprecedented success for the past quarter of a century, claiming 18 Scottish Cup titles in that time. The most titles ever by any club in Scotland. With all of this success it's easy to forget that we have such a wide range of opportunities for beginner/improver level. A huge amount of coaching available, regardless of ability. Social nights take place on a Tuesday and Thursday night and a Friday morning, additional sessions for seniors run on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. 🎾 A special day at Dunfermline Tennis Club as Judy Murray and Jane Russell visited the club to deliver a Miss Hits session in partnership with Learn to Lead.

The event welcomed over 30 primary school girls from the local area, giving them the opportunity to experience tennis in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment. Miss Hits is designed to inspire more girls to get active through tennis, building confidence, friendships and a lifelong love of sport. Combined with Learn to Lead, the programme gives young people the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills while helping introduce the next generation to tennis.

It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, energy and engagement throughout the day, with our Learn to Lead participants doing a brilliant job supporting and leading activities.

A huge thank you to Judy, Jane and everyone involved in making the day such a success.

Looking to start tennis, get back into the game or improve your doubles skills this summer?

We’re delighted to offer a range of adult coaching opportunities at Dunfermline Tennis Club, led by Lewis Macintosh 🏆

Lewis is our current Men’s Singles Club Champion, Men’s Doubles Club Champion and an East of Scotland County player.

Perfect for players new to tennis or returning after a break.

📅 Adult Improver

For players looking to develop consistency, confidence and technique.

🏆 East of Scotland Youth Leagues | 8U Fearnley Group 🏆

An incredible effort from our 8U players, finishing 3rd in the Fearnley Group after a remarkable campaign where the top three teams all finished level on points!

A huge well done to Celine, James, Lucas, Arianna, Olivia, Arabella and Vasco who represented Dunfermline across the two events. Fielding two separate teams throughout the competition showed the fantastic strength in depth we have within our programme, with every player making a valuable contribution.

🏆 EAST OF SCOTLAND DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS 🏆

A huge congratulations to our U14 Boys team who secured the East of Scotland Division 1 title yesterday, winning every match they played throughout the season.

An incredible achievement from Cameron G, Archie W, Cameron Q and Stuart R, whose hard work, commitment and teamwork saw them finish the campaign unbeaten and top of Division 1.

Winning every match in the highest division is no easy feat and is a testament to the effort the boys have put in on and off the court.

We’re excited to launch our Junior Matchplay Series, giving players the perfect opportunity to gain match experience, build confidence and have fun competing with friends.

🎾 P4 Mini Wimbledon 2026 🎾

A fantastic day at the club yesterday as 17 teams of four players took part in our P4 Mini Wimbledon competition.

There was some excellent tennis, great teamwork and plenty of competitive matches throughout the day.

Congratulations to Crossford Primary, who produced two outstanding teams to finish 1st and 3rd overall, with Dalgety Bay Primary taking a well deserved 2nd place.

A huge thank you to all the players, teachers and supporters who helped make the event such a success. It was brilliant to see so many children enjoying their tennis and representing their schools with such enthusiasm.

A fantastic weekend at the Scotland Tour Bridge of Allan event! 🎾

Congratulations to Millie on a brilliant 3rd place finish in the U14 Girls event, competing strongly throughout the tournament and showing great determination on court. 👏

Well done also to Archie, who claimed the U14 Boys Singles title, defeating Adi in the final to cap off an outstanding week of tennis. 🏆

Great to see our players competing, developing and achieving success on the national stage. Keep up the hard work! 💪🎾

🎾 P3 Mini Wimbledon 2026 🎾

What a fantastic day of tennis on Tuesday as we welcomed 11 teams and over 40 players to our P3 Mini Wimbledon event! 🌟

The standard of tennis, teamwork and sportsmanship on display was outstanding throughout the day, with players proudly representing their schools and giving their all on court.

🏆 Congratulations to St Margaret’s Primary who were crowned this year’s champions!
🥈 A huge well done to St Bride’s Primary who finished as worthy runners up.

A big thank you to all the schools, teachers, parents and volunteers who helped make the event such a success.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again at the P4 Mini Wimbledon event next week! 🎾
