⚽️ Friendly vs Crossgates Primrose Youth FC 2014's ⚽️

A first game of 9-a-side football for the boys this evening, with the introduction of offsides, new formations, and a referee in charge.

The boys produced a strong performance from the first whistle against a physically bigger and stronger team. However, their high tempo, technical ability, and willingness to work for each other allowed them to rise to the challenge and showcase their quality.

There were plenty of moments of excellent individual skill, combined with some outstanding passages of team play, which helped us control large periods of the game.

A fantastic first outing at 9-a-side football for the boys and a valuable learning experience as they continue their development.

A big thank you to Crossgates for the invitation and hospitality! 🤝

A strong performance from the boys this morning. Despite a cagey first half, we created plenty of chances but weren’t as clinical as we could have been in front of goal.

We stepped things up a gear in the second half and dominated throughout. Our decision-making improved, and our finishing was excellent at times. A really good performance overall, with plenty of positives to take from the game.

Fair Play card went to Milan who worked tirelessly up top scoring some excellent goals.

Coaches POTM went to Connor who again stepped-up from the 2016s and put in a top performance getting on the scoresheet again.

Well done all!
