Located at the heart of the Douglas Community since 1986, this bowling green offers the community to join in the sport seven days a week.

Hi all,
I will be opening the club tomorrow for everyone to come and collect any personal possessions that you may have there.

As of July, the club will have no insurance in place and therefore any possessions will not be covered.

I will be there from 1pm to 3pm. Hopefully see you there. Please pass this on to anybody who may have possessions there from the past.

Hi, all! Unfortunately, we are at that time of year again! Thank you all for another great season. Our official closing day will be on Sunday 28th September 2025. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us and most, if not all, of you can make it.
If you can, please wear greys and whites for our final session of the season.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for Balerno Bowling Club!

Thank you to everybody who attended our Opening Day and our Easter Family Fun Day.
It was lovely to see so many returning faces as well as a few new ones coming along and giving bowls a go - we hope to keep seeing you.

Starting from Wednesday 23 April, we will be running coaching sessions from 4-6pm and ran by qualified coaches. The green will also be available at this time for open play too.
For any queries please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Balerno Bowling Club are hosting a Family Fun Day and Easter Egg Hunt this Easter Sunday, between 12:30pm and 2pm,

All are welcome to come and have some fun, meet the members, and try a game of Bowls.
There will be snacks and drinks provided
Feel free to bring along an Easter Egg to take part in our Easter Egg Roll Competition

We hope to see you there!

This event is free for all although donations are welcome.

Please arrive from 12.30pm (for a 1pm start) wearing your greys and whites if possible.

Hi all! I hope you're having a good off-season period.
I just wanted to let you all know that we have our Christmas meal booked for Sunday 8th December at 6.30pm at the Fort Hotel in Broughty Ferry.
Like last year, we need a £10 deposit paid for every attendee ASAP.

Evening all! Unfortunately, it's that time of year again and our season is over. We will be holding our closing day on Sunday 6th October from 1-3pm as usual (We will be open from 12.30). We will play some games and eat some food and have a great time - rain or shine!

We are opening this day to past and present members and their families and friends. Please share far and wide to make sure we reach out to as many of our members as possible.

Evening all. Tomorrow, Wednesday 14 August, we will be having a Bowls, soup and stovies night at the club, 5-8pm. Friends and family are also welcome to attend. We will also be drawing the raffle but don't worry if you don't have tickets yet, there is still time to get them tomorrow. If you have anything you would like to donate to the raffle, bring it with you.
We will also be holding another car boot sale on 25 August, so if you have anything for this, bring it along too.
